Raven flew through the cold winter sky, feeling the frost-bitten wind rushing through her mane and tail, tossing it around like smoke billowing from a fire. The mountains rushed past her, and she lowered herself just a bit to drag her hooves in the soft snowy rooftops of the earth. The snow swirls around her face, and she whinnied with joy, for there was no greater rush than the feeling of soaring over the mountain ridges. Her wings shift and flapped to keep her on course as she circled around and around. The sun glittered through the mist of the sky, and it shone on her back making her coat seem like molten gold among the blackness of her feathers. She would never ever find this kind of happiness anywhere else, no matter how far into the Far-sky she flew or how high into the atmosphere she climbed, this was the place fore her. This place was safety, this place was danger, this place was love and hate, but most of all, the mountains where home.
