The general idea for now is that he's a reaper of sorts, but not a traditional one; the souls and energy he devours becomes lost in the void of his hungry black hole of an existence rather than passing on into any form of peaceful afterlife.
He has a bit of a parasitic relationship with Malloria, although it goes both ways; she leeches off of his assisted power to strengthen herself, and he leeches off of the souls of those she crosses and condemns. Still, they consider themselves 'mates', mostly because he is passive and does not wish to assume control -- not when he already has a life of contentment with the enchantress's brutal ways. Plus, Malloria may just like the like-minded (and submissive) company.

He's technically a demon, perhaps a wraith. >u> I'll figure this out as I go along and keep brainstorming~
