mia sat ridgidly, her fingers twitching in nervous anticipation. her first date since coming out as lesbian
was tonight, and she was lucky enough to score a sweet girl like dove. mia sat on her hands to stop herself
from shaking so much. she had no reason to be shaking, anyway. dove was gentle and appreciative, so
everything mia had planned would be more than enough.
mia was taking dove to mia's favorite diner, pop's. right after eating, mia would play dove's favorite
1950's song, don't be cruel, by elvis presley.
mia jumped as her 5:00 alarm rang. her date was at 5:20. so now, it was time to drive to the diner.
when mia arrived, dove was already sitting in one of the checkered booths. neon lights glittered
around mia as she sat down.
"hi, dove!" mia smiled. her legs were trembling so badly she was afraid she would shake the table.
clearly, dove noticed. her brows furrowed gently, and a worried look floated into her eyes.
"mia, are you alright? your legs are shaking." dove touched mia's leg softly, and mia relaxed
suddenly.
"i'm fine now." she grinned happily at dove. "should we order?"
dove nodded. after eating, mia was back to shaking. it was time to turn on the music. she reached
into her back pocket and pulled out a single quarter. it was icy cold against her hand. mia stood up
shakily, and walked out of the booth.
"where are you going?" dove asked. mia exhaled slowly, a newfound confidence rising in her chest.
"you'll see."
mia turned and walked up to the jukebox, sliding the quarter into the slot. she turned the knob and
found the song she was looking for. the upbeat tune squirmed out of the jukebox, pounding its way into
mia's heart, filling her with such relief. when she appeared at the booth again, dove was grinning up
at her.
"is that my favorite song I hear?" mia nodded, reaching out her hands for dove. dove grabbed them and
hopped out of the booth. mia let go of her and watched as dove twirled gracefully. dove stopped and
stared at mia.
"join me," she said. as mia grabbed dove's hands once again, she let the music take control of her body
as she danced and danced and danced the night away.

How does this fox spend time with their significant other?
James spends a lot of his time at the gym, working as a personal trainer and also getting his own personal workouts in. Because of this, he and Jesse fully cherish the time they get to spend with one another. Anything they do together feels like the best thing in the world. Much of the time it's just simply relaxing on the couch, eating dinner and watching a movie or some funny sitcom on tv, or cuddling by the fire while Jesse will read to him, allowing him the chance to just escape into a nice fantasy world, imagining them as whoever they want to be.

He's also fond of setting up surprise dates for Jesse. Again, sometimes these are very simple things; a romantic candlelight picnic in their backyard is his favorite. They are sometimes intricate, however, and one of Jesse's particular favorites involved a weekend away, smores, and one night stargazing by the light of a campfire.

To put it simply, when these two spend time with each other, they focus more on the 'with each other' than anything else, and they enjoy every minute of it.
