why is one of their paws black?:
iris's paw is black due to a kalon omen. the kalon wizard predicted a Black Paw kalon to be born of rainbow colors, which is very rare. When iris mom had him, she was so astonished. the Black Paw kalons were destined to be great magicians and the saviors of kalon earth.

"you should have never fallen in love with me."

"i know."

"then why did you do it?"

"i couldn't help myself."

the multicolored kalon pushed the hair back from his face and stared into the eyes of the one he loved with his entire heart, the one he couldn't help but love, and of course, the one he could never have. nico reached out to him but he shook his head.

"i have to leave now, and you know it. i don't belong here, it isn't my world."

"i know, but couldn't you stay, please? for me."

the kalon chuckled at nico, a sad, quiet laugh.

"i can't do that." he replied, his face somber.

a tear slipped down nico's cheek. he nodded at the kalon. he knew that his love didn't belong here. a world hopper never stayed in a world that wasn't his. he could never convince him to stay, and that was guaranteed. still, he had a tiny sliver of hope.

"visit me then? if you ever have the chance?"

the kalons head sunk, and he too had a small tear in his eye.

"i couldn't do that either."

he moved towards nico, wrapping his arms around the rainbow colored kalon he realized he loved too. he rested his head on nico's.

"i'm sorry, it can't be, but i know you will find love again."

he backed away from nico and placed a paw on his cheek.

"promise me you'l find love?"

"i promise." nico replied.

"good." the kalon replied and backed away, grabbing nico's paw. he touched their pawpads and the color of nico's changed to black.

"never forget me." the kalon whispered, then quickly pressed a button on his bracelet and vanished.

nico looked at his now black paw, and smiled, sadness, and happiness combined.

When people meet Raphael they often laugh at his black paw or ask if his mother ran out of colored ink. He just shrugs it off and mutters genetics.


Dr Raphael Gregory Henderson wasn’t born with a black paw....

He was born in an ordinary hospital room with pristine white walls, medical equipment delicately strewn everywhere, doctors, and nurses rushing about; a typical scene in the maternity ward. It was bright and somewhat cheery. Raphael was born at about 1:30 pm. A small kit but otherwise seemed healthy. He however, unfortunately was declared dead only minutes after his birth. His mother was heartbroken and nobody could comfort her as she held her unmoving child and sobbed. Soon she became very drowsy.


She seemed to wake up in a white expanse. large waterfalls behind her and a dark figure cloaked in a dusty brown hood in front of her. The figure was holding a long handled scythe and wearing a leather mask.

“Have you come for my child?” She asked feebly, looking down at Raphael still in her arms.

“Ok, well you see uh” the other kalon said awkwardly, rubbing his neck “I-uh, well I am quite new to this job, I-hm, I—There’s been a mistake,” He said, slowly removing his mask to reveal a pale furred and apolegetic face “Your son was not meant to die today” “I-I can fix this, even throw in a bit extra”
He reached out and grasped Raphael’s foot.

They awoke.
Raphael began to move, began to cry, he was alive. His paw had become black where he had been touched. The doctors didn’t understand, but he lived.

Ever since then Raphael was different, aside from his faint scent of death, he had an abiltiy.
He could see pain.

perzi has always been a curious child, always touching things when he isnt supposed to.
his parents always had to smack his left paw away and lecture him about touching things
that arent his. he still continued even after all the lectures he received over and over
again. this lasting until perzi placed his colorful paw on something that nobody was to
ever temper with. a dark object that kept beings away for eternities and meant to keep
them away for eternities more. a jewel. that's the dark object? unfortunately the second
he laid his paw on the evil, it lost color. at this point, the once colorful boy was now a
void with his singular dark paw. why did he touch it? why couldnt he just listen to his
mother's words? stupid, stupid, stupid. if he listened, none of this would've happened.
now he's just a void. that word haunts him. it haunts him so bad. perzi is just a void.
