her glow in the dark highlighters!!! ;)) she loves highlighting her favorite passages in her book and then reading them when she turns off the light (it's a little fun thing to do lol)

Happiness is a feeling that is fleeting for Bronte; many things can make her happy, but they all loose their appeal in time. (Quite quickly, she might add.) She often is in limbo, wondering who she is and what makes up her own self. Her sense of identity is always changing, and often she cannot articulate exactly what makes her happy - or any emotion, really.
Hence, when she is in that state of bliss and is quite certain of her identity, Bronte likes to write little sticky notes for herself in her lower times. They include words of encouragement, exciting things that happened that day, and reassuring messages that help soothe her insecurities that she is her own person. They may seem trivial to the outside onlookers, but they're the one stability she has, and the one thing that constantly makes her happy, even if it's only for a little while.

no one really expects it from someone like herself, but the thing that truly makes her happy isnt something real... the thing that makes her happy is modifications, and fake realities... simulations, where she can be anything she wants. being able to change anything about herself, or at least how she looked, in a simulation, and being able to be who she's always wanted to be, look how she's always wanted to look, live in the shoes of her favorite characters for a day, experience things she never could in the real world... it makes her happy. being such a dreamer and often spacing out to daydream, astoria found the technology to be a dream come true. the simulations gave her freedom and abilities and hope and dreams, gave her the opportunity to be the beautiful heroine just for a little while, the pretty protagonist who's happy with herself and saves the day and has friends and gets to live the perfect life... the way astoria sees it, why would she be herself, when she can be anyone else... and as awful as it may sound, it makes her happy to retreat from the dull life she lives into a world of magic, and hopes and dreams, and endless possibilities.
