⭐ personality;; Devin is kind, sweet, supportive and overall a nice Kalon although very few are lucky enough to know that about him. He happens to be a major introvert and often gives other Kalons the cold shoulder due to social anxiety. He can be more salty than a winter road sometimes wether he is just in a bad mood (which isn't uncommon) or he simply doesn't want to talk at the moment. Sarcasm is his second language and he is a sucker for a good joke or prank which often brings out a rarely shown genuine smile. Devin hates being in the spotlight and does everything he can to avoid it although he loves to play string instruments and sing to himself. He wants to be a song writer but is to afraid (although he would never admit it) to perform in front others. Devin can come off as a bit rude in person at first but once he gets to know you, you'll never escape his endless puns and cheeky comments.

⭐ relationship;; Devin first came in contact with Cinder online. He had finally built up the confidence to post a few of the songs he wrote online which was a major step out of his comfort zone. He didn't have the courage to read any of the comments for the first day but when the second day came around he decided to read though them. There where a few kind words that made Devin feel happy but one stuck out like a Halloween costume on Valentines day. He read the comment and tossed his phone across the room. Someone decided to waste a minute of their life writing about how horrible Devin's songs were. His confidence was shattered and the only thing he could relate to he pushed away. Why had he thought he was good at all? His were just trash. Then one day, Devin got a message. He reluctantly opened the message and read though it, then read though it again. The message left him with a rare smile as someone apparently named Cinder went out of their way to write a nice message. He and Cinder started to message back and forth every once in a while, then every other day, to at least twenty messages a day of them going back and forth.. Devin found himself looking forward to see a message from Cinder, his one true friend that he felt he could rely on even if they had never met in person, well until they found out they lived pretty close to each other. Before Devin knew exactly what he was doing, they scheduled to go for coffee together. Devin was a nervous wreck. What if Cinder didn't like him once they met in person? Devin somehow managed to get there on time despite leaving late and in the end, everything went well. Cinder and Devin because almost inseparable and do almost everything together whether its pranks, school work simply having fun.

personality;; Ak is generally shy, but he does enjoy communica
ting with other kalons and seeing who he can make friends with. He’s
a pretty chill and friendly guy, but when he goes to a new place witho
ut anyone he knows well or can sign (he’s deaf), he can get very rese
rved and introverted. Because akroatís knows most kalons don’t know
sign language, he carries around a paper pad and pen with him most
places. When he forgets those, he resorts to texting. Ak is also pretty f
orgetful of most things, and would probably forget his head if it wasn’t
attached to his neck- but he’s very good with names and people, thoug
h. Akroatís can also be described as hopelessly obsessive- he spends ne
arly all his spare time on playing video games. His favorite “series” is, w
ithout a doubt, ‘whisker town’, an online rpg. Ak is someone who puts p
eople before himself most of the time, and he tried to be an optimist.

Akroatís met sat when he moved halfway across the country, and to a new sc
hool- his worst nightmare. Either way- he went to the school on the saturday
after he arrived (his flight landed on wednesday, he spent the extra time sle
eping and playing video games) to be shown around the school. When he first
met satsa, she was nothing like his new teacher had described her to be- he
could tell she didn’t want to be at the school on her one day off. This made a
k extremely nervous, and, testing the waters, he did some basic signs. Glancin
g at sat, he saw she was maybe.. A little irritated, maybe? He didn’t know- he
’s not the best at reading other kalon’s emotions. Then, all of a sudden, sat ma
kes a face of realization. Ak can see her mouth moving- and she seems to be a
pologizing, before gesturing to her phone.

Ak never did have any conventional first introduction with his friends, even in
his old home- and sat was no exception. Despite the awkwardness originally fel
t, they became good friends after Ak noticed a keychain of mov (the main chara
cter over the whisker town games) that sat had- he texted her about it (their im
provised way of communicating) excitedly, and they got talking more than befor
e. Ak and sat quickly bonded over the game, spending hours fighting off virtual
monsters, and ak feels a little embarrassed to admit how strong willed satsa act
ually was- while playing and in real life.. Sat even learned sign language so she co
uld communicate with Akroatís better, and he was really touched by that. He was
closer to satsa than any of his friends at his old home.

An impulsive borderline-maniac, Kaijin is the head of a minor local gang that resides in the slums. Her rashness and foolhardiness isn’t a replacement for skill, however, as she’s incredibly quick on her feet in combat and a surprisingly decent strategist. Her bloodthirstiness leads to questionable methods of intelligence gathering, and the most unfortunate who cross paths with her wish she hadn’t left them alive.

Ironically enough, she despises the idea of killing. Her desire for violence and influence among criminal factions isn’t driven by greed, but love. Her gang is comprised of the lost and abandoned that were driven to immorality to survive, much like she was. Kaijin is ruthlessly protective of her gang members, and is even willing to kill if it means protecting them.

“You’ll never leave me, right?”
A quiet voice echoed through the room.
“Right, Kem?”
“Nothing could keep us apart, Kai. Not even death. You’re my best friend.”

Friends never give up on each other. That was the first lesson Kaijin had learned.

“Kem… Kem, is that you?”
The figure at the window didn’t stop, or make any move to slow.
“C’mon, I know it’s you. You can stop now, you’ve scared me enough pendejo.”
The hand holding the gun shook, and then fired.

People lie, even friends. That was the second lesson Kaijin had learned.

Once the thief was gone, Kaijin had sobbed for hours, clutching her bloody shoulder until morning broke and she had passed out. She later woke up in a hospital, hooked up to machines and swaddled in stiff blankets and a thin gown. The room was empty. Kem would return. Kem would find her. She knew it. Kaijin began to count. Around 300, she fell asleep again.

But despite all that, there was nothing she loved more than her friends. Sure, they were broken, and sure, they weren’t all okay, but they were happy. They were a family of misfits and criminals, but a family all the same.

For 3 days, Kaijin woke up to an empty room. On the fourth, she ripped out the IVs, shakily opened the window and dropped into the brush below. Kem had lied.

It had to be done. For her new family. It didn’t matter that Kem had been her friend once before, all that matters is that she left. She never looked for Kai. She left her to bleed out and die. She left her there in that hospital, alone. And that’s why, Kaijin tried to convince herself, she had to kill her. Kem was threatening her new family.

Kemuri’s eyes held a note of sadness, and regret. They nearly radiated waves of longing, of pain, of love. Kai tried to ignore it. Her voice broke as she held Kemuri over the edge of the building.
“I’m sorry… pendejo. I don’t.. I don’t want to do this.”
Kemuri smiled wistfully.
“You won’t have to.”
And for the second time, she abandoned Kaijin. Kemuri twisted her hand, and Kai released her grip with a yelp, before watching her plummet and release a parachute.

She stood at the edge of the world, and watched her only best friend leave her once more.
