Introduction
- I decided to adopt out a few of my kalons, thirteen to be exact, that I don't really connect to anymore. I figured a large readoption might be fun to host! So this is it!
This page is a collection of the general rules + information. You're welcome to mark this thread and post questions here for any of the contests. I'll add all the answers to this thread so they should be easy for others to find.
There really isn't much else to say, other than follow the links below to check out all the readoptions! Each one will have their own set of guidelines, so be sure to read each one closely before entering!
Several of these kalons are related to each other. Please check out this Family Tree to see who is related to who. Note: Boite is not directly related to Contuse, Dearly, and Blue despite being listed as such in the Family Tree. Aurous [Blue/Contuse/Dearly's parent] and Goat [Boite's parent] are both MYOs/customs who I consider half-siblings in their canon, but are technically not related otherwise.
General Rules
- You can try out for all the readopts that you're eligible for, but you can only win a max of 2 kalons.
- Upon winning: you get to keep the icon of the kalon you won.
- For all contests: you must credit all images/art you use!

Tips to Win
- This section might seem a little weird, but it's mostly a list of what I'll be looking for while judging. That way you have a general idea of what I'm after/what I would like to see that might help increase your chances of winning.
- Character Concept: a good character concept will catch my attention every time. Anything different than the norm, anything unique, anything that lends itself to further depth of the character can all work to catch my attention.
- Don't stick to concepts like: "girl hiding as a boy" or "the chosen one" unless you have a good twist to it!
- World Building: the world is just as important as the character, I want to know where the character lives, even if it's only hinted at!
- Don't use a pre-existing fictional world. You will lessen your chances of winning if set the characters in the Harry Potter world.
- Hint at something more! I love the hint of there being something more, something hidden, something to discovery and develop upon. You can write something like "The beach was a brilliant joyous place to them, but they would never go there on a Tuesday and they had a watch set as a alarm for 4:45 pm. They would leave the moment the watch chimed it's alarm, but they would never say why." This indicates a secret, a reason why they won't stay at the beach past the certain time or go on a certain day. This leaves an illusion of depth and there being more to the character than what the form can show. Even if you don't know the reason why, it's a diving board for you to jump off of to discover more about this character!
- Don't go overboard with secrets. I want to know who the character is on the surface as well a hint of something more. Show me the tip of the iceberg and tell me that there is indeed an iceberg underneath, even if I can't see it!
- You don't need to be a good artist/writer! As long as you're being creative, I don't care if there are grammar mistakes or if the only art you can get is a stick figure. If the character concept you come up with is interesting and if your form shows depth, then you have a pretty high chance of winning!
