monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.
their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another kalon from afar. This
association with other kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Jesse’s View wrote:The first time I was in the air was... magic. There's nothing else to describe the feeling, the sheer fabric sliding through the air, dancing at your fingertips- so delicate, yet able to hold your full weight. The exhilarating feeling of letting yourself drop, catching the fabric only at the last moment, the hushed intake of breath from a captured audience... There's a trust needed in all of these things you do- trust in the fabric to hold your weight, trust in your partner as you leap off of your perch, trust in yourself to be able to make the jump, hold yourself high in the air, to make your falls beautiful. It is dangerous... but that it why it is so mesmerizing. There are many things I like to do, but none moreso than performing- Cirque Du Soleil, a dangerous place to perform, but where I call home. O, by far my favorite. Perhaps it is my love for the adrenaline rush, my appreciation for all things beautiful that leads me to continuously put myself there, but if there is one thing I know for sure.. I will never give up performing.
A Typical Performance wrote: The audience would sit with bated breath as they waited for the show to start- the announcer had said his piece, and music seemed to grow from underneath the crowd, filling them with both anticipation and contentment. Many couldn’t help some restless shifting as they anxiously awaited the moment the music would shift, and the first performer would make his appearance.
As the music began to change every so slightly, a hush would take over the crowd, each straining their eyes anxiously as they waited to see the performer emerge from the dark...
Had anyone been able to see beyond the stage, they would notice a young person standing straight, eyes closed and fingers splayed as he breathed in deeply. They wouldn’t see the revel in his eyes, but they would notice the rapture in his pose, the way his lips curled slightly, and a pleased flush travelled across his cheeks. And as he lunged our onto the stage, they would see how he seemed to simply become another person, his movements nearly ethereal as he threaded a golden veil through his fingers, muscles flexing as he seemed to effortlessly lift himself into the air, twirling in a dangerous dance between himself and the open air surrounding him. They would notice his odd, nearly-glowing golden eyes, full of love, mischief, and an odd longing as he played the part of fey so well it was hard to believe he wasn’t one. They would notice, as he let go of his ribbons, letting himself drop unaided through they air, the way his feather-like tattoos seemed to flex with his muscles as though they were wings attempting to break free and let him fly away from here. They would realize they held their breath, as he precariously dropped through a small opening and into a clearwater pool, and would find themselves gasping. But they would not see the glint in his eyes change as he prepared himself for another role. They would not know how he embraced a new story, a new soul as he changed his outfit to join the stage once again. None would truly ever know how much he embraced the lives of others as he performed with his open heart. But all would know, somehow, that this golden-eyed boy was something special, and his performance would be truly unforgettable.
