Iris is a tender touch, with a soft, smooth voice perfect for helping calm the fears of those younger members of every herd. She can often be found settled amidst the moss and ferns by the creek shore, where the cool mists, damp earth, and ample shade help keep her cool in her new home, whose climate is a fair bit warmer than that of her homeland's. Upon these banks with the gentle rush of water nearby, and the sway of leaves and dappled sunlight overhead, she'll gladly weave tales of a much larger herd in a land where frost gathers for many months out of the year, the ice reluctant to leave, telling of the taste of the dry winter trees, and dead grasses, and how much sweeter they made the first blooms of spring. Then speaking of assorted beasts, big and small, friendly and not, and the brave bovines who would fend off the later, even at great personal risk... Happy to keep alive the memories of her distant family and friends, as well as to entertain and enlighten her new friends about the land she so proudly hails from.

Placing great value in her heritage, and the stories passed down throughout many generations, but not so vain nor conceited that she isn't open to hearing the stories others have to share, quite the opposite in fact. Iris loves to learn, loves to hear every tale those around her care to share, from the humble little field mouse to the grandiose circus performers, because in touching her life, they have become a part of her own.

However, for as strongly as she feels on the matter, the quickest way to tick the usually even tempered heifer off, and see just how long she can hold a grudge, is to insult her family or the values they've imparted upon her. Civility shall evaporate swiftly, her gaze flashing and laid-back demeanor nowhere to be found, the fire and will of her great, great grandsire which made him so renowned in the fighting rings, running strong within her veins.

Not even bribes of food, of which she loves greatly enough to remain well on the side of pleasantly plump no matter what anyone else has to say about it (none of their business, in her opinion, she's beautiful just the way she is), shall aid in regaining her favor. Sugar cookies, an all time weakness of hers, shall visibly tempt her only so long as it was but a first time offense and the one trying to apologize seems truly contrite, however Iris shall nevertheless always stick to her beliefs, stubbornly, adamantly, loyal to her roots, and her forgiveness is not, and never shall be, a thing to be bought, but rather earned after much toil to prove that every accepted apology is sincere, and that there shall not be a second offense. Her moral values shall not be swayed, and her heritage shall not be slighted. She is her mother's daughter, in all the ways that count, and then some.
