Darkbelly likes to wake up early, right before dawn, to watch the clouds above turn from a dark blue to a pale purple and then pink and orange. However, since he cannot find a place high enough to watch the sun risen it’s full view, he figured out that the reflection of the sun on the waterfall in front of camp shines just as brightly and gives that one spark of joy to his day.

prompt: crowlight was a heavy sleeper, a tom who often did not, against the contrary, want to wake up. to face his demons, to live through another day. honestly, it would be a lot easier if he could just sleep through it.

but rookfang, being the deputy he is, did not allow him to sleep in. there was no escape.

as the bi-coloured tom pried his eyes open, staring around sleepily as his clanmates got to their paws for the morning patrols, one thought invaded his mind - and one thought only.

i wonder i rookfang will let me go to my nest early tonight...

ah, yes. for life was hard for a cat such as crowlight. a cat who wanted to sleep the day away.

Badgerstrike yawned, rolling over in his nest as the morning sunrays penetrated through the den’s opening and warmed his pelt. It wasn’t a bad way to wake up, but being an elder Badgerstrike spent most of his days lazing around.

Badgerstrike paused as he had the thought as he realised that that was something he usually said to himself when he woke up.
“Well it’s better than another day down, none to go.”

Floodbringer jolted awake from his sleep; a thought had occurred! As he got to his feet, he thought over and over about the night, just before he went to bed- had it reinforced the camp wall properly? He could recollect his paws weaving and jaws twisting the plants, but were they firm enough?

This is how Floodbringer wakes everyday- afraid of some error in his camp-work. From past experience he has messed things up before, and his worried brain often wakes him with a jolt of- did I finish this? that?- and leaving him so restless that sleep is s thing of the past!

Privet’s voice was scratchy with disuse as he floated to wakefulness. He stretched a paw out, almost cautious, and when his paw hit a warm form he felt his maw twitch with warm happiness.

A paw knocked his own away. Mallowpaw’s grouchy voice cut through his sleep haze. “Stop moving and mumbling.”

Privet felt his mood quickly crash as his eyes slipped open to the dark den. That’s right...

His sis wasn’t here anymore.

When Ravenfrost wakes up in the morning, he always thinks of new beginnings. The moon had not set when Nightwind woke from his sleep. Not a thought entered his mind as he walked up the tunnel leading from the warrior den. His eyes drifted around the camp, though barely noticing anything of importance. Slowly, he looked towards the fading sky as the moin made its way to bed. A sharp inhale of fresh, morning air woke up his brain, jolting his senses. I wonder how many voles the clan has eaten since Stonecloud founded it. Like, they aren't really common here, but they are pretty frequently found on the fresh kill pile. Is there a vole den I just don't know about? Maybe someone will tell me one day. Or maybe they're just a lucky clan? I don't know. Nightwind's thoughts were interrupted by a vole dashing through the camp. Maybe it was a sign to get his head out of the clouds?
