Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

This kid was dropped off a few days before thanksgiving, with their previous owners noting that they couldn't handle the cat's.. antics. While this wasn't something the staff hadn't heard of before, it was only the night of thanksgiving that they knew about the antics. The SCS staff decided to throw a small thanksgiving "feast" for when they were on break and near the end of the day. Somehow this cat got out and started dragging the turkey made by a staff member off the table while we scrambled to get them back. After the cat was caught, any dirty or inedible dishes were disposed of, though the rest of the food was fine and most of the staff went on with the small festivity. As punishment, a few staff members put the cat in a turkey outfit they found in a box. The cat isn't very happy about that.

Actually not too much. They grew up with very little food before their previous owners adopted them, and thus he at first was just trying to eat as much as he could get at. After awhile he just took it as a fun habit; snatch while humans not attending! The turkey was very tempting but he's neutral on the taste.

However, this year, his owner managed to put him in a kennel with his own dinner, instead of turkey. Reasons being, that each time he has to take a trip to the vet, because he hadn't been feeling too well after the mini heist.
