Sasha shuddered as she walked over to the public bathroom's sink. She had nearly vomited in the stall, because the stench was so putrid and overwhelming. As she scrubbed the soap on her paws, she stared at herself in the mirror. She looked chubby, yet chiseled, because of the odd screen. Her natural short stature was not presented in the mirror. Instead, she saw herself as a tall Kalon. But she wasn't really looking at herself. Her eyes were fixated on the little names and phrases etched into the fragile glass. Her mind began to wander, and she was overcome with a sense of happiness when she thought about her and her friends, long ago. She remembered how they used to come to the bathrooms and cackle like evil witches as they dug their claws into the mirror and wrote things like "Sasha wuz here," and "we are cool". She remembered how they had gotten in trouble when their parents found out.
A glittery tear of happiness streaked down Sasha's face as she looked at the markings once more. Then, she stuck out a claw and gently ran it along the glass, making a heart. Then she wrote, "Sasha + Friends" and smiled. She finished up washing her paws and glanced once more at the mirror, wanting to savor the memories of her childhood. But she took a heaving sigh and opened the door, leaving the last traces of those days behind.

Tigris flicked the switch of her tv and shook the bulky box. She opened the DVD holder and popped in Halloween, 1978. This was the movie she watched when she turned 15, the movie she watched a month before her mom died. She grabbed the remote and sat on the couch. She put her blanket over herself taco style. Tigris's lip began to quiver as she thought back to the memories of her mom. She wanted to go back, to see her again. She looked at the tv and continued to watch. She closed her eyes and imagined her mom with her and she began to smile. Tigris went upstairs to her dad and offered to make popcorn for the two. He gave her the scarf that belonged to her mother, the one that she wore her final movie with Tigris. Tigris jumped into her dad's arms and the two cried for a while. The two went downstairs and watched the movie, remembering the happy, good days.
