nightmare: Allspice loves her life in the treetops, so much so that she's never ventured down to the ground. She has recurring nightmares of falling from the trees and being unable to climb back up. No matter how much she calls out to her family they don't respond, and she can feel eyes watching her from the surrounding foliage, as though there's a predator just waiting to strike.

Chloe's main nightmare involves turning invisible, just waking up one day and no one being able to see or hear her at all. She tries to get people's attention, but everyone ignores hers as she gets more and more frantic to be heard, until eventually she just has to give up and accept her fate. It's normally about then that she wakes up and has to go and find someone to confirm that she can be seen before she can really start to calm down.

It was dark as pitch, the sound of wind brushing pines surrounding her. She was alone and had no voice, even though she tried to speak out. Wandering in and direction gave way to nothing, no feeling of ground below her, no bumping into these phantom trees, no wind brushing her fur. Panic filled her as she began to race through this nothing in search of anything. Though nothing would come.
Hours seemed to pass before she felt something brushing up her fur, coming closer to her head. She froze. Her heart seemed to stop in fear and her breath caught in her throat. The thing moved slowly, once reaching her neck wrapping around it. Her blood boiled with fear as a a huge gust of wind blew over her, taking her with it. She was rendered helpless as it thrashed her around. Then, it stopped. She woke up.

▪ The Nightmare ▪

Vines curled and twisted in the dark. He couldn't see them, but they were there. He could hear them moving in the dark forest like snakes. Only, if they had been just snakes his heart wouldn't be beating this fast. Autumn ran through the treetops as fast as he could, but the vines still caught him, entangled him. He clawed to get free, but no matter how hard he struggled, they only grew tighter. Finally, when he did get free, he found that instead of the branches that had been there before, there was nothing but empty space. He reached out for branches that weren't there as he fell towards the forest floor.
