"A kittypet can't be a good warrior!"

That was the cry that surrounded the entry of Diamondglint into the clan. Even after her month probation, cats still didn't think she'd do any good.

That changed when, one morning, they couldn't find her for dawn patrol.

It was pandemonium trying to find her. Although they'd tracked her scent to the creek by the herb garden, it seemed that she'd entered the creek and from there, no one could track her down.

There was a decision made - another cat would take her place on dawn patrol, and they'd send out a special patrol to go find her.

It took until about noon to find her.

Turns out that Diamondglint, despite her long fur and kittypet heritage , had absolutely no qualms about getting muddy or getting her fur tangled. She explained all this with a smug smile on her face when they dragged her out of the trees she'd been chilling out in that entire day.

"If you don't hide your scent," she said bluntly, "you can still be tracked. Mud is good at hiding scents, as is the creek. You just have to not be afraid to get dirty."

This later proved useful during a rogue attack. It seems that even former kittypets have excellent ideas every once in a while.

Everyone knows that the land of three crows is cursed, and that the bad energy has soaked into the fabric of the nature itself. The expansive forest, lovingly nicknamed the Chaos Woods, is a prime example of the power of this dark magic. The once vibrant land is now stained and the trees have become a faded and lifeless grey-brown. The trees seem to tower into the heavens and the branches twist into knots, blocking out a majority of the sun's light. There is few and far between natural breaks of light; though the leaves do flutter and provide a brief glimpse of warmth. It is here that Sunstream thrives, perfectly camouflaged among the dimly lit shadows of chaos. She's quick on her feet, ducking through bushes and jumping from branch to branch. Those who do manage to catch a glimpse trick themselves into believing she was nothing more than a trick of the light, nothing more than the unnatural movement of canopy. The mind likes to play with the shadows, making something out of nothing. Of course her victims over rationalize every noise, every peak of her fur - for who wants to face the monster in the dark? who wants to venture into the void towards the alluring golden eyes?

Flamefire’s favourite and only hiding place is under a large pile of leaves, often with not even enough of a gap to see through. While there’s little to be scared of in BreezeClan territory for most cats, Flamefire is terrified of fighting between cats. When a fight breaks out either between two or more cats and she’s near, she can only be spotted by her long tail diving into a pile of leaves. Of course, there’s not always a pile of leaves around to hide in so often Flamefire ends up hiding in thick bushes or trees with thick canopies of leaves because, in her words, ‘they’re living piles of leaves’.

Prompt;; Height. Dawnwing has always been lighter on her feet than other cats. She is particularly skilled at scaling trees, leaping from limb to limb. On occasion she'll find a rocky outcropping that has a solid perch and will make her way up to that....

Silence is a scary sound...
Ashwhisper's fantastic hiding ability stems from her ability to make herself almost completely silent. Her colouring helps too, the mottled colours similar to how the sunlight hits the ground beneath the underbrush, but her true talent is in her silence. When she wants to be unseen, she quietens her breath, even holding it when she really needs to in order to prevent any unwanted sound. Some might even wonder if her heart stops beating too. She walks with a deliberateness, even when not hunting, which sometimes results in some unintentional scares within camp! This she-cat is almost able to disappear from plain sight, her colouring and silence making it easy for your eyes to skim over her. She is an extremely efficient huntress, and will often come home with prey that might not normally be caught by cats.

SunShine doesn't try to hide, but most of the clan forgets she exists. Cats crash into her a lot, and trip on her. She feels invisible and couldn't care less, she likes being in the background.

Her "technique" is to almost never speak. She only speaks on a rare occasion, and this leads to her being "hidden" wherever she goes. Many cats think she's mute which isn't true.

she used to be the chattiest young warrior until when her kits got swept away downriver she lost the will to speak.

Blurpelt was a sneaky cat all her life. With her gray-ish fur, she is able to hide well in the shadows. But coming to SilverClan changed that. There was very little cover, and she felt very scared. Silverstar has reassured her that there is no dangers. She doesn't think so. She has found new hiding tactics. The grass in SilverClan is half the height of a cat. Blurpelt is able to hide in the grass with lots of practice. She has sneaked up on Silverstar multiple times using this tactic.

Prompt;; lilyblossom's fur pattern is absolutely perfect on twilightclan's plateau. the grey boulders and wheat stalks make her look like she blends right in. in fact, it's her favorite place to be, up there where she can look down into the canyons at the crystalline water. it made her feel free but also safe. dipping into the little ditches under there, it was nearly impossible for one to find her. she liked to go hide when she needed to think. sometimes it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the clan.
