What's there to be happy about? -- [300/300]
Renegade has nothing to be happy about, really. He just pretends that there is so he can stop himself from doing something to hurt other kalons. It's become more difficult lately, as his thoughts about the world have only declined more and more into disgust for the universe. His lies about his happiness seem genuine to most, making it easy for people to assume that the fluffy kalon has a lot to be happy about.
With an absent father, an overly emotional mother, and three insulting siblings that made him go to kamp in order to be rid of him, Renegade does have something to be happy about underneath the layers of anger and emotion. One day, his parents will be gone forever, and so will his siblings. These two events will leave Renegade on his own, so that he can handle his own life without being yelled at by people who are supposed to love him.
While the destruction of humanity is a bit of a bummer, Renegade is happy that in the future, he might be one of the few individuals allowed to leave planet earth before the apocalypse caused by earth's residents. He's always loved space, and had a dream of living up in space one day, so it's a nice thought for him that he might be living on mars while the earth collapses in on itself.
One day he'll realize that he actually, in a way, is an optimist. Everything that goes wrong has it's positive side to him. However, until that day, Renegade will claim he has nothing to be happy about, and continue to paint himself as a pessimist, even if he's really one of the most positive thinkers when it comes to thoughts about the apocalypse and death of his loved ones.
