Username: Golden-Boy
Name: Shavnik
Gender: Male
Gender for breeding: Female
What do their clothes symbolize: [499/500]
Their clothing symbolizes the bravery they have in the face of death, as over the years they have encountered quite a large bit of it. Their mother died when he was very young, almost too young to even know what death was, and he was given the feather that he now wears in his helmet to help him cope with the pain of losing his mom. It didn't help much, but he did keep the feather just because he felt as if part of his mother's soul was inside the feather, watching over him and hoping that one day he'll be just as great of a protector as she always wished to be.
His father almost died on the battlefield, but the place of his actual death happened to be much, much worse. He was able to get back home to try and protect his son, but instead of actually being able to escape, in front of Shavnik's eyes, his father was killed, leaving his helmet on the ground covered in the last thing he ever had spill from his mouth, bloody words. He ran away from the attackers while taking his father's helmet, and he now wears it along with the feather of his mother, having both his parents by his side at all times.
The horn was not originally what was on his father's helmet, instead, the helm originally had nothing at all- The horn was given to him as an addition to the helmet after the death of the last family member he knew, his grandfather. He had lived with his grandfather for a short while due to the death of his parents, but because of old age, he too passed away. While he was on his deathbed, he gave Shavnik a small black metal horn, and told him that he'd be watching over him like everyone else who loved him and passed on. Shavnik himself welded the horn to the helmet, and hoped that both his father and his grandfather would forgive him, and hoping that both of them were still watching him from above.
The last part of his outfit that was connected to death was his cloak, looking a lot like wings. Shavnik had fallen in love with someone, but sadly enough, he was also the reason they died. Because of his past and how his family was constantly being followed by death and attackers, there were people who really wanted Shavnik dead, and wanted anyone who even so much as looked at him with positive vibes dead as well. Shavnik's boyfriend at the time was murdered by a ground of soldiers who had found out that he was affiliated with Shavnik. Though the viscet tried to rescue him by attacking the soldiers, he was already too late. The last thing he has from him is a cloak that was made for a festival. They were supposed to sell it, but Shavnik knew that it'd be better if he kept it for himself.
Extra: [299/300]
Shavnik lives in a society where soldiers and warriors under his family name are a rarity, and a rarity that many think must be stomped out for the better of the world. It's sad, but true, and though it's clear that Shavnik has tried to break away from this, it doesn't seem to be helping. Everyone that this viscet has come into contact with in any way other than battle has died. He doesn't believe in killing others because his moral code just doesn't allow it, but he does indirectly kill other viscets just by being around them, just because his family was considered a public enemy. He couldn't understand why, but he just kind of accepted it as people fearing what they didn't understand.
Shav's family, in reality, was the cause for a mass murder in the former years, leading to a mass amount of bloodshed, fear, and hysteria along the countryside. While Shav wasn't existent, and his father was only a small child, his grandfather was a large viscet that controlled the population with an iron claw. He was the tyrant that everyone wanted to destroy, and in a way, they did. He went into hiding after an uprising towards his power, leaving him to live in a small community with his son, and over the years, as he got older and refused to tell the tale to his children or grandchildren, it lead to the family forgetting why they were hated so very much.
Shavnik would find out about this later though, finding it out through knowledge he discovers in bookshelves, and realizing that they weren't fearing what they didn't understand, they were fearing them because they did understand, because Shavnik's family had killed so many other viscets, that their entire bloodline had to be punished.
