      Cat Name;; Reedwhisker
      Gender;; Male
      Age;; 27 moons
      Clan;; Fogclan
      Rank;; Warrior

      Prompt;;
      Nettlepaw was once a happy-go-lucky molly, she was enthusiastic and eager to learn about the world, yet still had her cautions, but wouldn't let her anxieties hold her back from exploring the world around her. She and Reedpaw were as close as two cats could be, when they weren't busy with their duties, they were attached at the hip, they spent as much time together as they could. Together, they planned to one day travel the island, to discover new places and meet new cats, and return to their clan with tales that will be handed down from generation to generation.

      One day changed it all.

      Reedwhisker had recently become a warrior, and Nettlepaw was nearing her own warrior ceremony, so the two were separated for most parts of the day due to their conflicting duties. Reedwhisker had joined a border patrol at sunhigh, and was walking the eastern border, alongside the river when a light breeze carried the heavy scent of blood across his path. Alarmed, the tom left his patrolling and began to follow the scent of blood, leading him westward into the grasslands. It didn't take long for him to discover the source of the blood. He found the bloodied body of Beetlebelly, who was.. dead. His heart began to race, and he looked around cautiously, feeling very exposed in the grass, but he moved forward, looking for any other cats that may be injured, or worse..

      He noticed a streaky trail of blood leading away from Beetlebelly's body, and he followed it slowly, all senses on high alert, his claws ready to swipe. That is until he saw a familiar grey and white body half-hidden by a patch of sedge. " Nettlepaw! " Reedwhisker cried, darting to his friend's side, carefully gripping her scruff with his teeth and dragging her out from under the bush. Once he let go, he backed away for a moment to get a better look at her, and his jaw fell agape, " What happened to you? " he whispered, lowering himself to her level and gently beginning to lap at her bloodied cheek.

      Beetlebelly had taken his apprentice Nettlepaw out for a hunt in the grasslands, when they came across a couple of cats passing through the territory. At first, the interaction had been calm and curt, but the strangers became aggressive when Beetlebelly spoke of taking them back to camp. Things escalated quickly from there, the four cats fell into a vicious battle, Bettlebelly did his best to take the brunt of it, keeping the attention of the larger molly, while Nettlepaw tried to defend herself from the small but aggressive tom. Beetlebelly managed to take the tom's attention too, allowing Nettlepaw to escape and hide, though once the cats were done with Beetlebelly, they left without a second thought.

      Since that day, Nettlenose has never been the same. She was in the healer's den for half a moon, having needed a lot of care after developing serious anxiety, as well as needing time for her facial wounds to heal. She was given her warrior name, despite not having participated in her warrior's assessment, but no one in the clan objected. Nettlenose became a guard, since she now has issues with leaving camp, particularly if she is required to be on her own such as with hunting and patrolling, so times where she travels out of camp are far and few, and Reedwhisker almost always must be at her side.

      Reedwhisker would do anything to go back in time and be there to defend Nettlenose from the cats that hurt her and killed Beetlebelly. She doesn't deserve to feel unsafe in her own home, and to feel as though she's useless for not being able to do even the simplest of tasks. Maybe Beetlebelly would still be alive too.

Cat Name;; Beesplash
Gender;; Female
Age;; 30 moons
Clan;; Mossclan
Rank;; Warrior

Prompt;;

There aren't many things, if nothing at all, that Beesplash regrets enough to wish she could go back in time. Except one thing. Ever since she was a kit, Beesplash was jealous of her younger brother Waspheart. He was better than her at everything, and even got more attention from their mother. Waspheart would always get compliments from the other clanmates, earn spots in higher ranking patrols and was very popular among the ladies (which Beestripe always tried to impress). Yet Beestripe didn't realize that Waspheart strived to impress his big sister, and his big sister only. Beestripe recognized his attention as mockery and would proceed to shutting him out, pushing him away and often avoiding him.

But on one fateful night, Waspheart and Beestripe encountered a grizzly bear during a midnight patrol. Beestripe suggested that they lead the bear far away from the camp as possible. Waspheart didn't think it was such a good idea, but followed her lead because he believed that's what family do for each other. They have their back. The bear was quicker than they expected and with just a pinch of bad luck, Waspheart slipped into the rushing river at the edge of the MossClan border. The bear followed, and they were both swept away. That was the last time Beestripe saw her brother. It was also the first time she realized that she loved her brother.

After moons of grieving, Beestripe wishes she could go back to the night of Waspheart's death. She would change their patrol route and start building a relationship with him that same night.

He knew he was sick.
From his mother's first suspicions they had tried to hide it from him, but they didn't need to say anything for him to know it was true. Slatekit and his sister Pebblekit were born to Dreamclan during a particularly harsh Leafbare and even though the medicine cat had told his mother and father that they had been born strong, he could tell she was lying by the way her breath quivered ever so slightly, loud like thunder to his sensitive ears. It only served as proof of how he'd been able to tell if a cat was lying all his life, even as a small unseeing kitten in the nest with his mother and sister. He couldn't comprehend or begin to understand, though, what it really meant. What it meant for him was one thing, as a harsh burn began to form in his lungs from the cold winter air, he could tell something was wrong from the start. He was slow and sluggish, struggling day to day while Pebblekit leapt and bound around him, his attempts to join her excitement and games only leading him to falter and stumble. He'd heard the medicine cat, they said, "Give it a moon or two, he will grow into those long legs," and his mother had believed them. And for a while even with the sting deep in his chest, he believed that too, that he would outgrow this sluggishness to his livelihood.
Then came the coughing.
He had felt short of breath for a very long time, half a moon in fact, before he began to cough. His normal lethargic nature had become more than wariness of the pain, it was normal for him at this point to experience a sharp sting at every breath, what wasn't normal was when he woke to find his breaths gave him almost no air. His throat felt thick and his tongue felt heavy, as did the rest of his body. His torso heaved in his breathing, though he'd convinced him the pain would never stop him from behaving as a normal kit and accompanying Pebblekit he couldn't force himself to get up or move. This is where his mother's concern first started and it was late into that night when he began coughing, his entire body lurching with the motions as he heaved deep breaths. She had called desperately for the medicine cat, who looked ashamed and horrified. They had told his mother that he was born strong and capable, certainly able to make it through the winter, yet here he was lying next to her with his very life slipping away in every cough. Of course, they did whatever they could for his life, but in the end they told his mother it would be up to him now to make it through.
Then Pebblekit fell ill.
Early into her illness, she showed no signs of her pain. She must have been experiencing the same things he had in his early moons but she bound around the nursery with her usual fervor, never letting it deter her like it had him. It wasn't until her shaking limbs could no longer hold her and she was unable to catch enough breath to sustain her energetic actions that finally she collapsed to the sickness. He watched Pebblekit lose all her energy fearfully, she was a whole other molly this way, silent and still. His mother had to make a hard decision, either give it all she had to keep them warm so they would make it through and risk the chance that she herself would pick up the contagious disease, or walk away and let them die in quarantine. She was steadfast in her decision, practically smothering the two of them to keep them warm and soon a chill set itself within her bones. She strained herself daily, trying to get them through it. As they began to recover, she fell ill with the same lung infection. She promised them she would be fine, but the disease progressed in her unlike it had with them, turning into a much deadlier illness, and she tried her hardest to hide it from them up until it was clear she would die of it.
Slatekit and Pebblekit were with their mother up until her very last moments. They watched it take her from them, in an eternal sleep they couldn't comprehend as young as they had been.
Now, Slatestep knew better than he had as an ignorant kit. He had caught Whitecough as a kit, he had been born weak, and he passed it to Pebblekit and his mother. His mother's illness had developed into Greencough, which was lethal, and caused her death- he'd become a warrior after an apprenticeship plagued by knowing he'd done it. He'd killed her. He'd been responsible for her death, and the change that occurred in Pebblekit that caused her to lose her sense of self. She never returned to that lively child she had once been, forever clouded by her grief and loss.
Slatestep would forever look back on his life and wish he could change it, begging the Stars that they may send him back to fix it. After all, he could have prevented it all, sacrificed his undeveloped life so his mother and sister could continue theirs happily without him. He could have snuck out of the nursery late at night while they rested, when he first realized he was sick and unlikely to get better. He could have left them and faded into the night without endangering them like they had, they would have been happy, and he could watch their lives unfold from the Stars when he became one with them. It's the only thing he truly regrets from his past, having the knowledge that he did even so ignorant as he was at that age and doing nothing about it.

Cat Name;; Cinderstrike
Gender;; Male
Age;; 44 moons
Clan;; Frostclan
Rank;; Warrior

Prompt;;

If they could go back in time, what would they change and why? Min 20- no max.

Cinderstrike doesn't remember a time when he didn't want to be a good brother. Someone to lean on and be a rock when needed. But now, he can't help but look back and realize that he wasn't one at all. If he could go back in time, he would make a different choice and take his words back.

Cinderstrike had a brother, Stormwhisker. As kits they were close, never going anywhere without the other. And they always meant trouble. As they grew, it seemed nothing could tear tear them apart, even as they were named apprentices. But as they grew and trained, Cinderstrike's eye was caught by another apprentice named Fernpelt. A very beautiful shecat who liked to hang around the elders and kits. As Cinderstrike's crush grew, Stormwhisker noticed more and more that he was distracted and when he saw why, he too was charmed by the shecat and was determined to win her heart over his brother. As Cinderstrike tried again and again to get Fernpelt to notice him, he kept coming up short in compared to his brother and began to resent him as he tried harder and harder.

As Cinderstrike and Stormwhisker were named warriors, Cinderstrike had finally felt that he had finally gotten close enough to Fernpelt and felt confident enough to ask her to become mates.It was not to be however, as when he went to ask, she told him that she had already agreed to Stormwhisker and that she was sorry. Embarrassed and angry, Cinderstrike just told her it was not a problem and to not to worry. Cinderstrike kept his distance from then on from his brother as to not loose his temper. Unfortunately, as the two brothers patrolled the river, Stormwhisker didn't get the hint and started to brag about winning her affections. After one too many comments Cinderstrike snapped and lashed out at Stormwhisker. He doesn't really remember what he said per say, but it must have been something terrible because Cinderstrike will never forget the look of pure loathing on his brothers face, and the snarl that he heard before Stormstrike took a swipe at him, narrowly missing him but the intent and the damage was done.

As Stormstrike stormed off, Cinderstrike couldn't help the guilt that burned in his chest as he watched his only family storm off because of him. Stormwhisker didn't speak to him again, even though he tried over and over again to apologize. Nothing helped. And as his brother and his mate became happier and happier, Cinderstrike couldn't help but let his guilt and sorrow burn more and more fiercely.

It wasn't even a moon later when Cinderstrike lost all hope of reconnecting with his brother. Stormwhisker and Fernpelt were caught in a flood, trying to get back kits, and drowned, leaving nothing but memories, as their bodies were never found. Cinderstrike never got to say goodbye. The words are forever stuck on his tongue in hopes one day when he himself dies, he can say everything to Stormwhisker and hope that he's forgiven. But until that day, it's the one regret he has to live with.
