It really shows how shallow some can be. I don't want my pattern to be a predetermination of a passion for foliage, dude. I just want to stay inside, watch sci-fi and play creepy video games.

Bradford opens a leather book, "the Priesni realized this centuries ago. Pardon, you're probably ignorant of them. They were...philosophers...who abandoned polytheistic gods, favoring raw Earthly forces — natural forces beyond definition, unable to ever be truly understood by Kalonkind." He pauses, "They were punished for their humility."

He sets it ​face-down, but you catch a glimpse of ​the cover. ​No title, only a gold etching of an ornate leaf and halo.

"​Similar denominations​ crop up ​every​​ century..."

He rambles; you try to politely leave. It's getting dark, and his office is cloistered at the edge of campus. Something about the disheveled piles of papers, dried​​ specimens on bookshelves, and claustrophobic ​furnishing is awfully disconcerting. The air is stale. Earlier, you thought it smelled rancid.

His hand runs through his unkempt hair, unknowingly revealing a marking behind his ear. You stifle a chuckle — it's an amateur stick-poke tattoo.

With a closer look, your heart skips a beat. It's simply a leaf and halo. Mere seconds pass​, and it's reconcealed. He turns to you, and you feel your face grow hot.

"What do you think?"

Prompt Response --They love nature a lot, it's almost somewhat concerning why, though. He's a scared individual and he doesn't like talking to people, so sometimes when others are in sight and they seem like they want to talk to him, he'll literally dig himself a hole and hide in it. He says hiding like this brings out the camouflage, as his hair is green much like a plant on the ground, and the rest of his fur is very clearly different tones of brown which result in a soft of dirt look. To most people, however, it's like him saying it works just because it does, ok? Another strange thing he'll do is he'll lick plants, just regular plants in the dirt in the forest, not even one that's been watered and washed inside of a house. He says that it makes him able to avoid toxic or dangerous plants, but we all know that he just does it out of impulse. He's really strange, but at least he advocates for saving the trees. Honestly, it just seems like he's a bit off the deep end of sanity, but he has his positives...somewhere.
