Just around midnight. Yes, it seems pretty late (plus, I don't sleep much because of my insomnia). But that's what I want you to think. Midnight is when everyone stops stirring about, the time that everyone thinks is too late to do anything. Oh, but how they're wrong. You see, I never liked people much. Everyone leaves me alone at midnight. Then some come to greet me. Not people, but the countless, twinkling stars. The flittery-gittery moths with pale fuzzy wings. The cool breeze ruffling my fur (which I'm a bit bashful of since it's a real eye magnet). The occasional hoot of the old wise owl. The smiling moon just above. Then the sun just peeking over the horizon, telling me I should go back home and rest. Just. Perfect.

My favorite time of day is when the day begins. Not at dawn, but at midnight, when the moon is high and has just begun its descent. For midnight is like the reset button, when a new day can finally begin and everything from the previous is washed away in a shower of pale light. When I cannot sleep, I sit in a patch of grass outside, staring up at the moon, wishing I could reach out and pull myself to it. It lulls me, calms me, and eventually, I will just slump down into a deep slumber. The cool air turns warm as this glorious and rare moment of the twenty-four hour span fades away. The sun peeks over the mountains as the beautiful moon wistfully says goodbye until it’s next visit. I always miss the moon, but the comfort that it will be back, no matter what the day ahead of me brings, is more than enough to keep me going.

Despite his colorful personality and fur, Nexus adores the middle of the night. When the stars are as bright as can be, and the moon reflecting on the lake right by side the area outside his home. He loves the quiet that comes with the night, but also the noise that occurres when the other creatures of the night awaken and begin there day, despite it being so late. He also enjoys the solitude that the night has, as he always feel that he is suffocating with all of the social interaction he gets during the day when all he wants to do it lay down and sleep.

Ahh, the break of dawn, the part where the sun gradually peeks from the horizon and where birds can be seen flying across the orange, serene, sky. The time of day where silence gradually grows into bustling streets and the scent of fresh dew tingling his senses awake. Aiden absolutely adores dawn! He finds it the time where he can allow his thoughts to run freely, maybe it was the magic of the silence, he just enjoys being alone during dawn, what better than relaxing in his soft silky bed and listening to the melody of birds just right outside his tainted glass window, right?

at three in the norning, there is quiet, at blair thrives in the quiet. this early in the morning he wants nothing more than to sit by the riverbank, close his eyes, and listen to the world around him. the chilly night air drives away most of the bustling daylight activity which is perfectly fine for him; if he's by himself, he doesn't have to talk, leaving the fragile silence intact.

so at three in the morning, blair is quiet. blair is quiet as he stares up at the stars or absorbs the gentle sounds of the river, always quiet, until dawn rolls around and he is forced to bid the soft darkness goodbye.
