as a warrior who carries out assassination contracts in silentclan, she often hears words of threat, such as "you shouldn't mess with me." most of these cats, however, simply run when they come in contact with wolfwind. this is what causes her to have this philosophy that strength is not only physically measured, it is mentally measured. this is something that troubles and frustrates wolfwind; many can talk themselves up, but most cannot stand beside their word when faced by her gaze filled with malice; a gaze she has become too familiar with.

"there are many things that you need to learn as you grow up. you cannot trust anyone, you cannot tell anyone you don't want being told to someone else, and you cannot doubt the abilities of others. once you put too much trust into others, you will crumble."

part of wolfwind's personality was impacted strictly by her being abandoned by her family when she was merely six moons old. they did not want to take care of her, as she often depended on them, having struggled to pick up on survival tactics early on in life. she doesn't want other, much younger cats than her to fall into the same fate as she did, as she realizes and willingly acknowledges that she is a monster; one who murders for payment and doesn't think for a second about it.

"the world around us is visually beautiful. the colors of the sky are vibrant, and pleasing to look at. but the inner aspects, the personality traits of cats, hell, even i myself, are what make this world what it truly is; cruel."

wolfwind believes that the world around her is visually pretty. she often finds herself lost in thought staring at clouds that drift across the sky, scents that flood her nose, and small movement in the areas around her. however, due to her family abandoning her, and the cruel job she takes on, she has decided that the best lesson to teach the youth is that the world is only visually pretty; it is ugly internally. she believes that this perspective is the best way to explain the nature of the world to the youth, and sticks by this philosophy in hopes of making sure that those around her do not suffer the same fate as her.

Sugarcane is one to keep other's spirits up. While he is not beyond being grumpy or pessimistic himself, he'll often be found using this phrase, or a similar one, to address cats he's on a journey with. He's a lively cat himself on his best days and likes to be sure everyone else is up to speed as well. He doesn't always say 'my dears', but he has a habit of quite easily using terms of endearment, even to cats or animals he does not yet know well.

"The wind's a going north, so why are you headed southward?"

An expression used when his apprentices disobey him deliberately, or if everyone else is please, but one or more are not by something. He's very calm and casual about it and tends to use this phrase of a variant as a header- to ask in a way, "What's wrong?" or "If we're all agreeing on this direction, what's troubling you to make you disagree?" The expression can also be used as "The wind's going south, why are you heading north" and so on.

"Everything has it's time and it's season. If you didn't get what you wanted now, maybe it'll be saved for another day. Or perhaps it's best you never achieved it at all?"

Sugarcane is not afraid to admit failure and to give up when it seems necessary, and he's also quite patient. He could wait seasons for something to come, and if it doesn't, he'll put it to rest in his mind. If it was meant to be, it would have happened, is his reasoning. You cannot force things. Viper was once a homecat who was finally able to get out of their house, at first the forest terrified them and they stayed in the town. But soon curiosity got the better of him and he made his way into the woods, it was a rough start, he had no one to talk to and almost thought he was descending into madness. But soon he found ThistleClan after long travels through the trees and he felt like he finally found where he belonged.

"i did not get the move until i repeatedly told myself 'you will never know your strength until you face your struggles' which is what my father told me when he found out about my struggle."
