the komo looks at you intently. you look around, realizing she's
most definitely talking about you. you aren't entirely sure how you got
here, where you are, or even how she found you, but nevertheless
bonnie seems to be... expecting something? but what?

“ oh, don't look like that. here, take this. ”
she hands you a small flower-shaped cookie of some sort, chosen from a bag
filled with a multitude of them. on the bag, the words "baked fresh daily" are
painted sloppily onto the side. bonnie notices, covering the words with her arm.

“ to cut to the chase, there was a mix-up you see— regarding the booths. and, well... ”
she motions to the bag, wincing at the sight of all the cookies resting inside.
“ i seem to have made a surplus of sweets. ”

you open your mouth to speak, but bonnie cuts you off, anticipating your questions.
“ you like free things, right? and i don't like to waste! so, are we understanding eachother? ”
you look at the cookie. then, you look at bonnie. then you look back at the cookie.

“ are these... actually baked fresh dai— ”
“ —shhhhhhhh. don't question things. only cookies now. ”
before you can open your mouth again to reply, she shoves another
fistful of treats into your hands before scampering off.

“ oh, be sure to come back for more tomorrow! they'll be piping hot ! ”
somehow you doubt that.
