Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Someone on a chat I'm on suggested a design based off sushi and a bicolor cat so HERE WE GO!

Their Job: Tooru works as a bullhorn carver! She's actually a worker at a Japanese sushi store, but her true hobby lies in bullhorn carving. She does it ethically, purchasing the horns from deceased bulls, and sometimes she also carves animal skulls and bones. She loves her job and it makes a pretty penny, especially when she's tired of the sweaty, steamy vibe she gets from working on bento boxes and sushi in her part-time job. She hopes to expand it, currently running an instagram page in order to make her work known to the world.

An author of non-fiction crime. Not the most well known author, he goes under the alias 'Blade Richardson', emphasising the murderous nature of his books. He spends most nights researching and writing snippets of chapters, but struggles finding enough words to put together a full book. Only having three published to his name can make things hard in terms of money, but he manages to survive the cold nights with no heating. In the end, he loves researching such a broad topic, and hopes that his books will one day make him enough money so that the winter nights are warm and toasty.

Their Job: Ashiro is a fight attendant who is terrified of heights. He loves to travel the world, but gets queasy whenever he thinks about flying. However, he's found a very clever way to deal with his fears. As they load passengers on as they prepare to go up in the air, Ashiro settles his nerves by chatting up each passenger as they come on, and tries to make a game out of where they are sitting. This has also served to help in emergencies when it was vital to know and helped in a few dangerous flights he was in.

Pascal works as a skilled magician, often hired to work at parties of all kinds. He also works at festivals whenever they're occurring. He's been practicing his skills at creating illusions since he was very young, and has only been improving since then. He has many tricks up his sleeve, including things involving birds, rabbits, flowers, cards, and the list goes on and on. His favorite trick is very typical, but it means a lot to him, because it was the first trick he ever succeeded at. His favorite trick is pulling his pet rabbit, Harrison, out of a hat.

He is neutral, working on both sides to do the one thing he seems to b good at - healing. He is a nurse, taking in the wounded and healing them, no matter their alliance or their problems. He would never turn anyone away, even someone who is declared to be his enemy. It's his job to care for the wounded, and protect them from others to the best of his ability.

She also teaches classes for young kalons who are interested in the art in her free time, and always encourages them since it's definitely not an easy art form starting out. She's also tried painting in a similar art style, which she sometimes sells on her stationary.

Their Job: Ebi is a flavorist, otherwise know as a flavour chemist. He works with various chemicals and machines to create artificial flavours, much like a perfumist does with creating perfumes. Ebi enjoys his job as a flavorist, allowing him to toil away in his lab until he creates a tasty flavour! (That’s safe for Kalon consumption of course!) He currently specializes in creating flavours for various kinds of cereals, more specifically focusing on different types of raspberry cereal!

Their Job: [ 80 words ] Roosevelt owns and manages an old, dusty book shop! It's been in his family for years, and even though business is failing he can't bring himself to sell the store. He does his best to keep up with the times, ordering new books and replacing the old dinosaur-era computers with the newest models and he hosts children's storytelling parties or Dungeons and Dragons nights. Slowly but surely, under his care, the old brick building is beginning to flourish once more!
