prompt wrote:Jago Hart is a man that you probably wouldn't want to cross. He is a paranoid conspiracy theorist with a passion for trying to figure out the unknown. He tends to think that everyone is out to get him, which is why he's usually pretty lonely. Before Jago went off of the deep end, he was fairly close to his father, who was also a conspiracy theorist. As a kid, Jago really adored his father and loved the stories that he would tell; mostly the ones about how the government is hiding aliens. Four days after Jago's tenth birthday, his father disappeared. He watched his father get taken into a large white van with government tags. He always thought that his father would exaggerate the truth a little when telling his stories, but now? He believed them wholeheartedly. At the age of ten, Jago lost the man that meant everything to him. This is when Jago first started delving into the world of conspiracy theories.
By the time Jago had turned eighteen, he had completely left behind everyone and everything he knew. He couldn't trust them. After his father was taken, he never trusted his mother again, which is inevitably where the trust issues started. In the back of his mind, he always believed that she was the one who turned him into the authorities. As he delved farther and farther into the darkness, he lost more friends. He was scared to go out, especially at night. He strongly believed that the government released beasts in the night to hunt down and track people like Jago.
After living on his own for a while, Jago decided that he needed to stay on the move. He also figured that it would be safe to change his name once a year. This, of course, prevents him from meeting people- not that he would want to anyways. Jago was also convinced that the government had made robots to look and talk like normal people. His trust was extremely hard to gain. However lonely Jago was, he was actually extremely content with being alone and living his life as a nomad. The only person he truly trusted was gone, and Jago had no more intentions of getting others taken from him.
The only people that Jago talked to were other conspiracy theorists online. He quite enjoyed their own personal theories and he'd enjoy sharing his own. That would be the only form of connection, trust, and influence that he would have with other people, and he was completely content with that. Nothing made him happier than finding something out and sharing it with his so-called, 'friends.'
Jago is now twenty-two and has completely isolated himself from the outside world. His mother has tried to make contact but has been unsuccessful in her attempts. He has personally driven everyone away from him, only to try and find the real truth. The truth is out there and Jugo is coming for it.
