Another day, another lie, just to get away.

"It sounded believable, Papa." She said as they drove off from school that day. "They're not going to ask about our family anymore. They know they'll sound rude if they do."

Adelina, the sweet kit she was, wasn't lying to her classmates about her mother. She was lying about her biggest secret.

Adelina was the daughter of a mafia boss, whose wife left their family after her little brother was born. Adelina was only three when she last saw her mother, and her father swore to protect his children in place of their mother. They were safe with the mafia, her father reassured.

"Just trust your father, and swear that whatever happens within these walls, stays within these walls."

Both she and her brother would have to take their father's place in the event that anything goes wrong. It was a dangerous life, but it was a lifestyle she couldn't easily run away from. In fact, she's learned to live with it by making friends with the men who pull the strings. Sometimes, one could see a faint image blending in the corner, colors cloaked with the palette of the underground. Dull gray fur and hair, but eyes as bright as candies and tail as fascinating as garden roses. With that lovely of an image, she was an icon of the underground.

Adelina was, secretly, the mafia's sweetheart.

system. her sister had a bad history of having panic attacks, so
whenever tsuu would start to go into a frenzy, saeon
would take her out to the garden to pick flowers. the
roses where always her favorite, with their sickly sweet scent
and baby-soft petals. the two were eventually separated, saeon
being stuck in the system until the age of 15. she was never able
to contact her sister, leaving her with two options; move on, or be
stuck in a psychological pit of isolation. saeon chose to move on
with her life, but she never really forgot tsuu, just stored her in
the back of her mind, like an old memory. she never told anyone
about her family hsitory, to prevent the endless pain she had felt
from resurfacing.
