Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Hey guys, so I think gonna do a few short non owner contests, maybe with experimental designs? A few may have no edits, but I'm trying to see how "stylizing" the lines to my style looks, like I see some artists do! This palette was randomly generated with one added color (the darkest brown).

This is a non owner contest where you design the tail and shine! Since these are a bit tricky to judge it'll close at the top of page 3. You'll have until the 31st (5:00 PM EST) to design everything, and blank reservations are not allowed, a name, gender and part of the form should be filled even with just a description of what you think tail/shine might look like. It should be drawn though, but you can get a friend to draw it for you if you can't, but it has to be YOUR design.

Though note you can edit the design before the end date! I just don't like it when I have set page numbers and reservations are left unfinished when others could've had the chance to post. c':

Marron's tail looks a tad longer than most, though one may guess that's from his long, fairly silky tail fur. It's not
to a norm-defying extreme, but noticeable enough. The faint seafoam triping at the back of his hind thighs is
repeated down the spine of his tail, overlaying the dark brown fur that matches his hair color. A few dark spots
deviate from the gradient of dark brown to medium brown, and some partial barring of light fawn hue comes up
from the bottom of his tail and fades halfways up the sides. Towards the end of his tail it fades to seafoam, then
the tip of itturns to a darker teal, with spots of that hue spreading a short ways up the tail. His tail's shine has a
semblance to a butterfly's wing, or perhaps to two leaves- the shape is somewhat ambiguous, but what can be
accounted for certain is the rich turquoise gleam that comes from it, which Marron prides himself on greatly.
