Hark! how the bells
Sweet silver bells
All seem to say
"Throw cares away"
One of the first sounds he heard in his life was a sweet chiming sound. An ever-present ring that filled the air, following around the humans of his home. They chittered a lot, joining in groups to make melodious sounds.
It was from them he first heard a 'voice'.Christmas is here
Bringing good cheer
To young and old
Meek and the bold
They sang this tune often, hymns about their 'silver bells' and their 'Christmas'. Was it how they communicated? He tried to answer from his box, peering over the edge and replying with nothing but excitement.
He thought that, maybe, he offended them with his high pitch, harsh little attempts, since they always left soon after. The box was lonely, cold, and wet, but he knew he'd leave someday. He had to.Ding, dong, ding, dong
That is their song
With joyful ring
All caroling
It wasn't until he managed to knock over the box that he finally left. The white stuff on the ground was fascinating and fun to play with, but he soon found it had a price - standing in it too long made his paws cold and sore.
He didn't play with it too much after finding that out.
Walking made his paws sore too, but it was worth it. He soon saw his first tree - tall, thick, and covered with brightly colored tendrils and lights. It was beneath one of these trees that he finally got a human to respond to him.One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From ev'rywhere
Filling the air
The human's voice was unlike the others. It was deep, gruff, and booming. The man answered with a rumbly laugh to his singing, patting the fuzzy red fur on his body and stroking the lighter white fur on his face. Accompanying him was that same jingling. He would follow the man for a better part of a day, always getting the same cheerful laugh and praise from the man when he tried to 'sing', little yips and barks in time with the bells.Oh how they pound
Raising the sound
O'er hill and dale
Telling their tale
At the end of this day the man picked him up.
This was his first experience with "touch", and he rather liked it and the warmth and comfort that came with it.
Warmer still was the inside of the giant stone structure the man took him into.
Everything about this place was amazing, yet the thing that amazed him most was the man's fur. After the man took him in he found out that both the red fur and the white fur could be removed.
Over the course of the next few days several other oddities were discovered. Like the box filled with human voices. The other boxes filled with food. His desire to discover things and getting stuck in said discoveries eventually resulted in the man giving him a bell of his very own. The man had said it was to "let him know where he was" but he didn't care. He liked this bell.
Soon after the man gave him a name... Kolokol.Gaily they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer
Christmas is here
And come it did. Christmas soon came and left - much to his surprise – and just like Christmas, his time with the man eventually came to an end, too. A woman entered his life.
A woman who didn't like Kolokol in the slightest, who made comments about how he was "annoying" and a "pest". The man always argued in his favor, and the two would remain at odds for the rest of the day. He always comforted the man in this situation.
At least he did, until the woman leashed him and took him somewhere "special". That "special" place was far away from the man's home. She said it was a walk.
She lied.
The woman tied him to a tree and promptly left, leaving him there on his own.
His only company was the bell for a long time.

She had been doing this for decades. It was something that brought her joy every year. Yet again, she can't really do anything else.
She put the rest into her wagon, a slight smile on her face. Strapping herself in, she headed towards the village. Reaching the cliff she took off, Flying through the dark night, her black painted wagon filled to the brim with toys gliding behind her. She reached the village soon enough, Laning outside. She started to make her rounds, quiet as a mouse as she placed each gift on the doorsteps.
She stopped and looked down, this house had left her quite a bit. She took a bite from one of the cookies and drank some of the milk, then left the respected gifts on the porch, and moved onto the next house.
She was almost done for the night, but this house was different in particular. It left the usual- cookies, milk, ect. But, there was a small note attached to a gift box wrapped up for her.
Zuri was hesitant, but read the note. "My friends are starting to say you aren't real, but I don't believe it! You always bring me nice presents every year. I wanted to give you something! I hope you wear it, It would mean a ton to me!"
She untied the bow and opened the box. Inside something seemed to shine. She pulled out the object. It was a large gold bell, attached to a silver ribbon. She admired it for a bit, before putting it around her neck. She expected it to be annoying, but it surprised her. The ribbon was soft, and the bell rested nicely on her chest.
"Thats cute," Zuri jumped, spinning her head around to see starze. "Oh! starze, uhh, What is it?" Starze Shrugged. "I've figured out how to make you visable." Her heart stopped, "What? Oh wow!" Starze shook her head. "don't get too excited. It has its bounds. I cannot stay long, I will see you in the long run, Zuri." She was almost awe-struck. "What? Where are you going? come back!" Staze was gone. She sighed, retreating back to her wagon.
She nodded in satifaction knowing everything was now delivered, but a small squeal made her jump again. She quickly got back up to see. A small viscling stood at the door, His eyes wide. "You are real! I knew it! You are! You are wearing my bell!" She stood fridged, "You can see me? You can see me..!" She shook her head, "You are going to catch a cold! Get inside!" the kid wasn't wearing anything, and she could see him shivering. "I can't wait to tell everyone. I knew it!" she shushed him, yet a smile stained her face. His adoptive father soon stepped outside. "Klondike, Get back here! You are going to catch your death out there!" He picked up his son and retreated back to the house. "But, shes rigth there! Shes right here dont you see her?" the bather looked around, Zuri standing beside her wagon. "I dont see anything." Zuri sighed. She knew what the boundary was.
She waved goodbye to the kid, before starting to leave. She smiled one last time, before retreating back to her beloved cave.
She soon figured out a few following years, only some of the visclings could see her. It was always the really joyous ones, the ones that really believed in her. Some viscets now rumor about a chimeing of a bell every Christmas night, while the visclings know its really her.[602w] xxx☃▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ☃ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ☃ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪❅ My fall,
Zuri's misty breath streamed beside her as she ran across the tundra, the only visible light to be had been the trail of stars inside the aurora. That and, her destination of course. Her eyes narrowed at it, but in turn, her throat knotted in grief. Once I have it, I can get everyone back. We will all be happy again.. I just need to borrow it. I'll give it back once they're all back. I promise.
Flashes of her past made her heart flutter restlessly in longing. She missed her family so much. Getting to the castle, her keen eye and stealth was a breeze. Getting past the guards was nothing- and since Altaira was away the guards were slacking. But now her real challenge began.
Her head spun like a tumbleweed as she ran through the maze. Missing the traps like a charm, but still finding herself at the same ones over and over again. "This cant be right, slow down, Zuri." She spoke quietly too herself, slowing her run to a jog. "There has to be a way through this. I have to get to it. I cannot get lost here. I've come too far to give up now. Just, breath.." Her head slowly turned up to see the ceiling of the underground cavern maze. Her eyes widened seeing a huge crystalized, isolated dragon, seeming to point somewhere. Following his claw, she set off through the maze once again.
"There it is." Her words were nothing more than a breathless gasp. Her heartbeat faster than before, so much excitement thinking about her family once again. She didn't even think to be careful. She threw herself over, grasping the crystal within her small paws. A bright flash was seen, before a sudden darkness overwhelmed her.❅ Truth,
Zuri Gasped, her breath sharp and fretting. Her eyes opened wide in shock. "Zuri!" A voice called, soft yet stern. "You're in no danger. Please relax." Her head spun; Looking underneath, her frightened state became worse. Seeing nothing but blue galaxy and darkness. her eyes soon locked onto another teal viscet, looking down at her with a faint smile. A seemingly floating hammerhead spirit beside her. "Where am I? What happened? Who are you? what is this place? why..." the viscet looked at her with soft eyes, calming Zuri lightly. "You are fine, You just had a little slip up in your original relm is all."
"Relm..?" Starze nodded at the question. "The crystal kicked you out. It was startled, and so it zapped you out of existence there. Good thing I saw you falling through the celestial gates." So many questions raced through Zuri's mind. This has to be some messed up dream, right? "I.. don't understand. Whats' this all mean?" What going to happen to me- if this is even real? Starze sighed. "Well, Since the crystal kicked you out, I can't take you back. And, we can't wait here for long. I'm going to take you to my home relm, Albira Chiarlo."
"What? I've only heard of other worlds existing in viscling tales! Please take me back! I just-" My family! Zuri's voice suddenly raged, "That's happened to everyone I love? Where are they? take me to them! I-" Starze put her paw on Zuris shoulder. "I'm sorry. I can't take you back to them... They all loved you, and they know you had good intentions for them. They won't forget you." Zuri found herself choking on tears. "They're as good as dead now! How could you do this to me?!"❅ New Chance,
"I'm Sorry, Zuri. But you are only alive because the crystal knew you meant well. I'm here to give you the chance of existence. Will you take it?" Starzes paw reached out, ready to help Zuri back up. Zuri didn't know what to think. What would this new chance be? How could anything ever get better for her? Zuri looked up at Starzes small smile. Zuri reached out to her paw hesitantly. "Hold on!" Starze yanked Zuri too her hind paws, and started to run across the galaxy's new path, Zuri suddenly following with a new energy in her legs. Before she could try and stop, A bright flash blinded her as she ran through.
She gasped. Cozy air filling her nostrils. Her eyes opened once again. She was in some sort of crystal, ice cave. Standing up, feeling somewhat sore, stretched. "What is this, Starze?" Zuri called out. No reply. "Well.." Zuri decided to figure it out. She started to walk outside the cave. she found herself in the mountains, light snowfall coated her horns. The smell of pine made tilt her head. She walked through the mountains snowy forest, almost admiring the area.
She walked for a long while, but a new smell intrigued her. Cinnamon, peppermint, candy, baked goods. Her eyes drifted up, seeing a light smoke in the distance. With curiosity, she headed towards the sents. Her eyes widened once she reached the edge of one of the cliffs of the mountain.
A small, heart warmed village sat at the bottom. Though, something seemed off. Most viscets seemed glum, as if something terrible had happened. Her heart swelled up, relating to sudden sadness. Eager, she started to climb down toward the village, the feeling of needing to help overwhelmed her.
Then she slipped.❅ My New Being,
And she flew. Seeming to glide downwards with ease. Zuri laughed, this new sensation of flying feeling marvelous. Light as a feather, she circled trees and let her fur wrestle with the wind. "This is amazing!" the yelled allowed, excitement overtaking her. Though, the sudden smell of sweet treats overtook her again. She flew up higher to look for the village.
Landing to get a better look, her heart sunk as she reached the village.. everyone seemed so down. Others tried to keep happy smiles on their faces, trying to make others happy; trying to brighten the solemn mode. "Um, hello?" she waved at a Shopkeeper. They didn't seem to look up, or even acknowledge her. "Excuse me?" Zuri was right in front of them now, waving her paws.
Suddenly, another viscet walked through her and started talking with the shopkeeper. Zuri shook her head, What? She stepped back. "This cant be it. Please, really it can't."
What am I now? Some sort of ghost?! Tears welled in her eyes, before she shook her head again. "No. These other viscets are already down enough. I won't add to the mood.." Blinking away the tears, she looked around. "I have to be able to help them, somehow." Her eyes trailed to a crying viscling, their broken toy in the snow. She rushed over, "oh, poor thing.." She attempted to pick up the toy. Apparently, she could. She quickly went to fixing it. The viscling stared in awe. His toy was floating! Once she fixed it, she handed it to the kid. He squealed as the fixed toy floated to him. he took it and ran off to his mother, telling her how the toy fixed itself. Zuri smiled, thinking of just the way to lighten the mood.▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ☃ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ☃ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪
