Username: Ciel Phantomhive
Show Name: there is a way to make your dreams come true.
Barn Name: dream catcher - dream
Brief Personality: Dream is soft, caring, loving, determined, learner and playful. If you just meet her she will be shy and iffy until you gain her trust
Short Story: Dream was always a shy and timid foal, her ears were always low and her tail would stay down unless she was with her mama but yet she dreamed she would become a famous dressage horse like her daddy but she was afraid to do so as she was scared of all the eyes staring at her and better yet just the pressure itself. but it was a very sad day for her when IT arrived, a horrible sickness to her mother that within a few days sadly made her pass. But right before her mom passed her mom said a simple saying that would inspire her to keep moving forward. "fear has two meanings, forget everything and run or face everything and rise. the choice is yours my dear" from that night when her mother passed, she worked from the very bottom, facing her fears, earning trust, gaining bravery and best of all she didn't succeed her dream, she made an adventure out of it and lived her dream.

Show Name: Dreams Are But Illusions - Illusia
Brief Personality:
Illusia is a humble and down-to-earth lady. Her high height and friendly demeanor earns her much respect, but she never lets pride get into her head. She is a hard worker, and patient too. Her motherly and protective instinct often leads her sacrificing her own resources to help others, regardless the consequences. She never takes advantage of others' trust, and will be loyal and faithful till the end.
Short Story:
Illusia used to be a haughty and selfish girl, not caring for others' feelings or needs. She felt the world evolved around herself. She felt she had to be treated specially, as her sire was the star of the stables and her mother was a high-class mare with a purebred pedigree.
As such, all the foals hated her and didn’t want to be her friend. She kept thinking that she would grow to be a great dressage horse like her dam, or a great driving horse like her sire. She thought she could do it without any effort.
While bragging about it to a group of other fillies, one of them scoffed, “Yeah, the only thing you’ll be great at is being too proud for your own good.”
“Yeah!” Another filly agreed. “You’re just tall on talk and short on skills. Don’t think we’re blind!”
That filly was right. Illusia lacked the grace and elegance of her dam while doing dressage, and lacked the strength and muscles for driving.
One day, as a yearling, she was taken to a horse fair. She was there to witness her parents’ great performances. As Illusia watched wistfully, an old mare around 14 years old approached her.
“Would you want to be as great as them, young one?” The old mare asked.
Illusia nodded, then snapped, “Don’t come here to tell me I’m short on skills. I don’t want to talk to an old hag like you, anyway!”
The old mare smiled patiently, explaining, “You’re not short on skills. I see a lot of potential in you. What you’re short of, however, is the attitude.” The mare paused as Illusia turned to her in surprise.
“Remember, dreams are but illusions, young one. Only if you work hard will you be able to achieve your dreams. Make them real, no longer illusions.”
Illusia tried to think of a retort, but she couldn’t find the right words. The old wise mare’s warning had hit home.
She changed completely. No longer was she petty and stingy, she became caring and generous. She wasn’t proud and lazy anymore, she became hardworking and modest.
She wasn’t who she used to be, thanks to the advice of one wise mare.

Show Name: A Little More Persistence
Barn Name: Glory
Brief Personality: Glory is determined, persistent and although those could lead to a very stubborn horse, willing. She trusts her rider and does her utmost to do what is asked of her, and to do it well and efficiently.
Short Story:
"Tch, why do you even come? You'll never be a knight, take your mare," that word was sneered "and go home cripple!"

The other boys were already on their mounts, the stallions jostling and trying to pick fights, controlled with varying degrees of success. Toivo took the abuse silently. Once he'd led Glory to the line mounted. It took him a moment, as Toivo had only one good hand, the other ending in a crippled claw of an appendage. For all his struggling, Glory stood steady. She wasn't yet full grown, but already she was tall, and devoted to her boy. She was as tall as most of the stallions who'd been born the same season as her, taller than some. She didn't have the same unrelentingly aggressive temperament, highly prized in a warsteed, but she preformed each task that was asked of her, and her dedication and refusal to be swayed by distractions was a boon in some ways. Particularly to Toivo who would have had no hope of reining in one of the willful stallions.

Each day the pair came to lessons. Each day Toivo took the abuse his peers heaped upon him silently. Eventually when basic lessons were finished and advanced began, he started strapping a shield to his crippled arm, so it could be used to some advantage. Against all odds the pair perservered, and actually thrived, forming a close bond.

Glory was attentive to even the slightest moves of her rider, and would attempt to cover terrain others might balk at when he asked it of her. Their partnership was complete, and the two worked together so well they outshone even some of those who might be seen as more capable in the arts of war. Sometimes having a dependable partner was much more important than a good arm or a mean streak.

As boys became men they grew not just in body, but mind and spirit as well. Toivo, once shunned, became known as a dependable brother-in-arms to have at your side. As the saying went, with a little more persistence, a little more effort, what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.

Really like this story! c: Congrats.
