well, i like to think the desert is more than just my aesthetic. it's kind of a getaway
place for me. i love to drive on the highway, blasting my music, my thoughts drifting
away as i get farther and farther away from home. something about the environment
makes me calm, it helps to ease my mind and to forget about what i was stressed about.
my boyfriend ross sometimes joins me and we sit and bask in the magic of it all. it's even
better when you park on the side of the road and go for an adventure. sunsets create a
beautiful illusion, and at night everything gets even more magical, with the stars and the
moon glowing, it creates a brand new environment.

another big part of the desert is the life. here in california it's mainly snakes, lizards,
geckos, you name it. but snakes are really fond of me. me and ross will walk around, taking
pictures and such, and then we run into snakes. the snakes aren't aggressive towards me, and
ross thinks it might be because of my shine. i can pick them up and place them on me, and
they won't even try anything. the snakes absolutely love me, but i can't say the same for ross.
lizards and geckos, they love ross. he attracts more geckos than i can count actually, when we
walk by a shady spot, it seems like one million of them climb up from behind a rock and hop
into ross's hands.

Savanna loves the desert. In fact, she lives right in the middle of an Arizonan desert on five acres! She's got horses and cattle, pigs and goats, cats and dogs, but also the largest collection of snakes kept in a separate barn from the other animals. All of her snakes have their own habitat and a large terrarium for them to roam in. Savanna cares for them well and ensures that they're always happy.

Her most prized snake would be the Antiguan Racer, one of the top ten rarest snakes in the world. The Antiguan Racer is totally harmless and non-venomous, found on an island off of the coast of Antigua. This snake has rear fangs, which only harms its prey when it bites, and its scales are usually grey with brown specks.

Snakes are Savanna's speciality. although she lives so far away, she'll always show up when someone calls about a snake problem -- venomous or not. She's handled many dangerous snakes (safely, of course) and gotten praised for doing so, but she just does what she loves to do.

She lives in the desert because one of her favorite snakes resides here -- the Sonoran Sidewinder. They're a beautiful but venomous snake, and this snake in particular has "horns" protruding from above its eyes. Savanna thinks the Sonoran Sidewinder is beautiful in a tantalizing way, and she always loves getting the chance to capture them for people. But since they're wild and found in the desert, she always lets them roam free. The snakes residing in Arizona stay in Arizona's deserts, not her terrariums.
