Andromeda has always been fascinated by outer space and the possibility of aliens. When she was supposedly abducted by them, her interest only grew stronger. Her memory of the event is foggy because she was asleep when they took her. When she finally woke up, she found herself several miles away from home. At first, she was astonished and confused about what had happened. When she returned home and dug around on the internet, she was intrigued by what she found: reports of alien abductions similar to her own experience. She then became thoroughly interested in aliens and began spending a large amount of her free time researching aliens and listening to other people's experiences with them.

song choice: yellow by coldplay | why: caelem has had a deep connection with his grandmother ever since his birth. He would spend hours and hours with her, recently though he's lost his grandmother. He remembers every little thing about his grandmother, how her favorite color was yellow, how she use to look at the stars with him sitting in her lap. Pointing out the different constellations and planets, she use to call him her little astronaut. When caelem listens to this song, his eyes well up with tears because it brings him back to the days and memories that he and his grandmother shared throughout the rest of her life. His grandmother taught him how to be gentle and made him who he is today, raised by compassion and understanding rather then violence and hate. Caelem knows he would never be able to thank his grandmother enough for what she has done for him.

“ one day there was one little lonely star that hung low in the sky, he sat there and cried night after night. as he could no
t find any friends to talk to, to play with, and with each night he cried he became dimmer and dimmer. once night the mo
on called out to the little dimming star, and said "here child, hang onto me, regain your light from me.' the little star com
plied and then hung onto the moon, which he found to be quite comforting, so comforting in fact that the little star fell a
sleep on the moon as it rocked him in the sky. when he awoke something wasn't right. he was not the same as he was whe
n he fell asleep, he awoke smaller, he couldn't see as far as before, he couldn't hear the distance talk of the stars around
him. and he couldn't hear the sweet lullaby of the moon anymore. he began to panic and run around crying out for someo
ne to speak to, anyone, he wanted to hear someone's voice. after running for a long time, he collapsed right back where h
e had awoken, panting and tears still streaming down his face. he then stared at the endless void that was dotted with tw
inkling stars, he sniffled then had a thought, an outrageous thought that only someone as desperate as he would have.

“ the little boy climbed to the top of the moon, the very tip and sat there as the moon slowly moved throughout the void
of stars. throughout the night he would stand up and reach out grabbing stars out of the sky, he had to tear some away. s
ome felt so heavy that he though they would break his arms, some leaked onto his hands and he giggled at the warmth of
them. soon, throughout many nights, he had collected over 1,000 stars, he lay in them each morning as he fell asleep, ho
ping with every breath that he would wake up and be a little star again. or possibly hear them chatting with each other or
even have a full conversation with them. the poor little boy was so lonely, he hadn't heard a voice in so long. and every ni
ght when he awoke again he would cry and scream because, just as the night before, he could not hear them, he did not g
low like he use to. soon the little boy began to realize he would never again be able to hear the stars, or the moon, or the
planets. he would never be a star again for he had been a lonely and unwelcomed star, in this realization he became angr
y. he began to pick up stars and throw them back into the sky, crying with each swing. he threw 1,000 stars back into the
black void, and soon he found himself there, standing along once more on the tip of the moon. and that is where he stayed.

Why:: Riley is very empathetic towards Kalons who lose one of their loved ones as they lost their mother as a teenager. They think that the outlook on death that most Kalons have: 'There are so many Kalons in the world, what does it matter if another one dies?', is very selfish to think. They believe that even if you didn't know the Kalon that died that you should still have the compassion to understand the tragedy of the situation, and show respect to the loved ones of those that have passed. They're the shoulder you can cry on if someone you loved has passed on. They will sit and listen with open ears, and consile you to the best of their efforts. Riley genuinely cares unlike most Kalons that offer such support.

Why:: This song is this Kalon's theme for a few different reasons. The first is that the moment I saw him I could hear it in my head. The way he looks reminds me intensely of the images, sounds and feelings of Aldnoah Zero. The shattered Moon floating in a satellite belt around the Earth. The people of the Martian Vers Empire, intelligent, polite and eloquent, but also resourceful and opportunistic. Kataphrakts clashing, in space and on Earth. The people in them, resilient and driven, fighting battles they couldn't afford to lose. Sadness, anger, loss. Unlikely friends, innocence shattered in an instant, betrayal. Alliances. Common ground between enemies. Love at first sight and miracles. Nao knows these feelings. His world isn't that one, but he's lived the life of a soldier in a war without reason, a war based on a mistake. A misunderstanding. Outwardly cold and analytical, inwardly full of deep emotions that even he can't measure. Nao knows what it is to know an enemy, to love an enemy. To some, he is that enemy. But Nao doesn't fight to win the war. He fights to end it.
