it's Halloween first today! i had a lot of fun making this cutie-- one of my favourite things i used to do as a child was go pumpkin picking at Galey Farms. we'd go on this lil pony drawn carriage ride into the pumpkin fields and we got to pick our own pumpkins to bring home and carve. man... those nights were really, really wonderful. horror movie marathon with my aunt, cooking the pumpkin seeds while we carve our designs and pig out on junk food and soda. and then pumpkin pancakes in the morning!

gosh... so many good memories..

i'd like to hear some wonderful, nostalgic memories about this lil one as well!
however, to keep the Halloween spirit alive, i'd also like to hear a spooky story about something that's happened to them!

There are no pleasures to the fall morning. The birds interrupted the peace and quiet his ears needed, the bright sun blinded his sleepy eyes, the smell of burning food cooked by his terrible chef of a roommate killed his nose, and the cool breeze made him cold. At least he had blankets to keep him warmer. Thats all they were good for, unfortunately. They didn't block the chirping of the birds or the smell of burnt food. They did a lousy job at covered the sun, and his room was bright anyway so there was no use trying. Life starts loosing hope at fall. Animals were going away, plants were sacrificing their leaves, and college students were exhausted.
However, some fall nights can be pretty nice.
For example, one night during the middle of his freshman year finals, Rockford got time to relax. It was his first experience with these big tests, and he was worn out and very stressed. But his roomate set up a nice, not burnt dinner for him, put in his favorite movie and made him drop his books and relax.

a spooky story!:
Rockford threw his body down into his rolling chair. As the chair moved towards his desk he sighed a deep sigh. It was Halloween eve and he was not in the mood for trick or treaters the next day. He had never really had any strong feelings towards Halloween. It was always a neutral feeling, though he did get annoyed when people commented on his Halloween themed pelt. No, he wasn't born on Halloween. No, he is not connected to Halloween in any way. He didn't understand why everyone asked.
This year he wasn't looking forward to Halloween. His computer kept malfunctioning and he needed to fix it. Plus, there were a million other things he needed to do, and tend to small kids was not a priority. Of course, he still would give out candy himself, he knew that putting out an unattended bowl was just the first greedy kid's jackpot.
