he is a traveler, a walker, and can never really stay anywhere long enough to call
it home. although he’s tried multiple times, he always gets this horrible feeling
in his feet. a restless, itchy feeling that he can’t control. it forces him to keep
moving, never stop walking. and when he is with someone, there’s no way he could
ever stay with them. if people attempt to follow him, his feet seem to take weird
paths, sharp turns, or hitchhike in order to lose his follower. his feet never stop moving,
not even when he’s sleeping. colfax, after three months staying at the same house,
was told he sleepwalked into the forest nearby. after that, he left the house and
went back to the road.
he used to be called twitch, before he left that place. and then trigger, in the
next town, but he left that one too. soon after that, he didn't wait for them to make
up a name. he just stopped by the town, and left. poof, colfax would appear as if
he was part of a magic trick. that was before he started getting his twitch-foot, as
he called it. the first time it happened, he stayed in the village for too long. he had
started to get...
familiar with the place. then, his feet started acting up. they got numb at
times, but felt as if they were on fire at others. and colfax, understandably, hated
the sensation. but it stopped after he found himself alone on the side of the road,
with sore feet, miles away from the village. he never stayed for long in a place after
that first one.

but in a way, you could say the road is where he lives. he seemed to always be on it,
whether it be walking, running, or riding on it, and he’s never far from it if he’s not there.
but there’s not one particular road that is his one, it is all of the roads that he ever has
traveled, and ever will travel.
