favourite thing about autumn: Zelda's favorite thing about autumn is the leaves and pumpkin flavored coffees. She loves being able to see all the colors while talking to her favorite coffee shop, and get inside and smell the spices and scents of pumpkin. It reminds her of growing up on the family farm and how her mother would always bake a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving. Her little sister would then sneak a piece of the pie before dinner and eat it. It always made their mom scold her but she never was actually mad and never stopped putting the pie where the child could find it. Looking back after all these years, Zelda loves that memory most of all. She doesn't get to see her sister much now because she lives in another state, but a walk through the leaves and the smell of coffee always makes her remember the little viscet who'd still pie every year. It brings a smile to her face and gives her something to think about, and look forward to seeing her sister for the holidays. Especially if the weather is cold and she needs warmed up, the coffee warms her body and the memories warm her souls. The perfect combo.
