Xero's prized possession is a worn and battered dog collar which he sometimes wears on his back paw. The collar used to be red, black and gray plaid but has since faded so only a hint of the colors which were previously so bright. This collar comes from a dog he once had which ended up passing away years ago. The dog's name was Slate and he was a large husky mix that Xero found as a pup in a box in the woods one day. He had no idea how the puppy had gotten there but decided to keep it, figuring that it would be nice to have some company in the woods. He swears that he can still feel his friend watching over him to this day as a guardian so he keeps the collar close to him at all times. The only time he doesn't wear the collar is when he swims and when he fights as he doesn't want it to get caught or worsen it's damage.

His most prized possession is a little 6"X6" hard cover booklet. It's got 50 pages or so with plastic covers and holds many photographs. It's a mini photo album, and it's not quite filled yet. But it has pictures of him when he was a baby, as well as his brother when he was younger, before he moved out. It has pictures of his grandmother, who isn't long for this world. And pictures of his mother, of which he will cherish long after she is gone. And it has pictures of his mate from when they spent one christmas together many years ago. He hopes to include pictures for many years to come, so he can leave a cherished book of memories for their daughter to enjoy after they're gone.

Prized possession: It's incredibly stupid, and he'll never admit it to anyone, but there's a spider statue in his room that he wouldn't give up for the world. It's just smaller than his head, made of bronze, and ornately crafted to the point where it might be mistaken for real if he painted it black. He doesn't even like spiders, but it's expensive, and it was a gift to him from one of his closest friends.

"Like you," she'd said, her smile teasing yet kind. "Terrifying but harmless." His quick temper and occasional urges for violence have given him insecurities about being a bad person, so he views the statue almost as affirmation that at least someone thinks he's good.

(She was joking. She actually gave it to him because of his spindly, spiderlike limbs. He's just really bad at noticing sarcasm, and nobody wanted to point it out to him after he got all emotional about the statue.)
