No, not at all.
He had just faded away,
Like thee stood tall.

For we couldn't see him,
But his glance remained.
Piercing eyes just so dim,
Staring staring at you ashamed.

But had he just gone mad?
Had we instead?
Would we simply by drvine act

I sit alone in the darkness
Waiting for my old dear friend
I hope that her word are harmless
This time.

I dream of walking alongshore
Wjith her again by my side
But she will fly here nevermore
After last time.

The birds that flock around me now,
Carrion crows and raven like harbriners of death
waiting for me to allow
Them to devour me this time.

And as the bells of the village hall
Strike the hour the noise reverberating
Across the woodland country sprawl
Calling for me like last time.

But now as I fall to my knees
I know she's not coming ever again
And I cry for the end of this among the trees
Knowing there will be no next time.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much Calix!
I had a lot of fun writing the poem. When I read the prompt I knew I wanted to do something a bit mysteriously beautiful if that makes sense?? And I'm glad it paid off!
