Ceres grew up with his single mother in a world called Jiihn'ra. His mother owned a tavern / inn in a little village. Most of the connections in his life, good and bad, were made here. As soon as Ceres could walk and talk, he began working there, hoping to lessen the load upon his mother's shoulders. He learned to bake from a young age and always had a penchant for sweets. Although his mother never spoke of it, Ceres soon learned his father had gone away to fight in a war not his own and perished on the battlefield. A spite for needless fighting arose from that knowledge and to this day Ceres detests any sort of fighting.
The kalon has always possessed a pretty laid back personality. Even as a child he was more reserved. Ceres has always been a listener and although he can hold a conversation, he much prefers to just sit back and soak everything in. This led to his overhearing of a comment about his unusual eyes. The thought had never occurred to him before and while it was a simple comment, it stuck with him. Ceres grew his hair out in response and although he may cut it every so often, it always hangs past his eyes. He has no intention of cutting it shorter and dislikes comments regarding it.
