Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

res where she keeps having a dream of drowning in the ocean as a kid, and eventually she gets sick of the dream so when she's older shes like "fine fine im gonna get this over with and stop fearing the ocean" but PSYCHE the reason why she fears the ocean is because in a past life she was a human pirate (male) captain and she kicked butt but her crew turned mutinous at one point and threw her overboard and she drowned. And as she discovers the ocean and all sorts of things on a boat, she does thing she did in her past life (first time eating squid or seeing whales) she relives the experience in her pirate life or something along those lines

personality and other: She is very elegant and graceful, but with a very bitter and quite sharp personality. She is a maiko (training to become a geisha) and usually resides in the waters among Japan. She's a shark in a angelfish's scales. Oh !! And she's a very good fighter and puts it to good means, if that helps out. She is terrible with trusting people however, and isn't the most pleasant kid to talk to.

also pirate life plans:

- raised mostly by nuns on island
- island had native villagers near island where slaves were n important people plus cash crops
- island gets ransacked by priates
- was taken on ship but hopped ship and washed up on another island
- gets wicked scar on back like a bubble due to almost drowning and hitting rocks due to jumping
- stays on island for a year building boat and surviving
- hitches on to mainland
- wants to defeat and get revenge on other pirates
- does not like the way government handles and takes care of pirates and itself
- decides to become pirate that steals from other pirates
- but how do i be a pirate? need job and skill obv
- gets a job on ship (still a youngin)
- falls in love with lady on mainland
- writes letters to lady
- eventually rises in ranks until a young man
- takes lessons from captain and other crew members in fencing
- visits lady when he can
- pirate ship attacks theirs
- pirate leader kills captain, he challenges the captain later after being taken prisoner (his hair is very alluring)

Meredith is fascinated by the sea. She yearns to venture out to the open sea and discover all the
secrets the waves hold in their blue depths. Her father is a wealthy man who had built his own
submarine, and makes frequent trips out to sea to explore and learn more about it. Meredith longs
to join her father on his journeys down into the waters of the vast sea, her mother disapproves
of her fascination with such a thing, and would never allow Meredith to do anything involving the
ocean she so desperately wanted to explore.

"Meredith, I've come home!" Bellowed her father, as he closed the door behind him. In a flash, the
kalon was down the stairs, and she skidded to a halt as she captured her father in a hug. "I missed
you, dad! How was your trip?" She asked as he hung his jacket up. He chuckled as she squirmed in
her seat, eager to see what things he'd discovered. "Alright, settle down, junior," he said, and took
a chair across the table from her. "I've got something for you," he whispered, and reached into a bag
and pulled out a large and glittery conch shell. Meredith's eyes widened and she nearly snatched the
object from his father's paws. "Where did you find this? It's beautiful!" She asked, and he snickered
before taking a picture out of his pocket. "Here. I was able to capture one last picture before it got
too dark," he said, and Meredith's smile grew even wider. She was overjoyed whenever her father
brought her anything from his trips that she would be able to add to her collection. "Father, can I
go with you on your next trip?" Meredith asked, her icy blue eyes filled with hope. "I don't know,
junior. You know very well how your mother feels about you going out to sea," he said, pairing it
with a humorous raise of his eyebrow. Meredith's shoulders sagged and she pouted. "Mom will never
let me visit the ocean," she muttered, and her father laughed, and got up, ruffling Meredith's silver
braids. "Don't worry, junior. I'm sure she'll come around one day," said her father before walking up
the stairs to his study. Meredith eyed the conch in her paws, and sighed longingly. "I hope so."
