"on the rare occasion that me and granma went to the seaside (riding in a coach along jolty roads that made me carsick), we used to see other kalons flying kites. we weren't, of course - granma would just be sitting in a deckchair sunbathing, and I'd be playing in the sea. anyway, I remember the kites vividly, because granma used to take pictures of them with her old camera and we put them in our scrapbook, and then I'd draw a picture of the kite next to it."

what is happiness to them: Happiness isn't rare to this Kalon, in fact she's happy most days!! A thing to bring up her mood is to bake! She's a huge fan of sweet treats, from apple pie to zeppole. Anything bake-able is something she would love to try and create, even if it ends up a little less than perfect. To her, almost nothing compares to baking, except maybe chatting with her closer friends.

That is another thing to cheer her up, being with any of her friends and definitely making new ones. She's quite shy when it comes to making them, but once you get to know her she's quite a blast! It's almost astounding how excitable she is, and very easily entertained by maybe the slightest of things. She does her very best to keep up with friends, old and new, and she looks up to each and every one of her friendships with a twinkle in her eyes, because she loves them all so dearly and she's very glad to meet them all!

Then, there's baking with friends, which could probably sum up to the most fun that she could ever have. She would love to bake with her friends any time!

what is happiness to them:
millie is a bit of an old soul. she finds happiness in warm tea, sweets, breakfast, museums, history and reading.
she also enjoys going on runs or hikes every morning to get herself ready for the day ahead, sometimes waking up as early as 4 am in order to beat the heat of the day and watch the sunrise from the top of the hill she's hiked.

millie would describe happiness in the form of things she loves - summer monsoons feeding the desert and turning it vibrant shades of green, a warm cup of tea while cozying up in a large blanket, catching frogs and toads after a rain just to see if she can, going for a run before sunrise to be able to witness it in action coming over the mountainside, the smell of freshly buttered toast in the morning, vanilla ice cream at any time of day, the sun's kiss warming her fur in the fall, the feeling of wind blowing through her hair, the feeling of freedom a long drive through the night brings, and the rush of nervousness melting away as an airplane takes off from the terminal.

what is happiness to them: "happiness is an unique feeling that you can easily distinguish from all other feelings. happiness is like your life as a whole. without happiness in our world, everything would feel simply lifeless. happiness is what brings us together, even if we're completely different. happiness is what makes our world go around and around, and what makes us smile, laugh have fun and so much more. true happiness is found when we're all together, almost like we're one. happiness can also branch out into all sorts of different feelings, but happiness is the base of all those feelings. because happiness in a nutshell is simply just happiness. a feeling that makes your life complete."

what's up with that jacket?: cassidy narrows her eyes at you, frowning. she takes a part of her jacket and shakes it. "my jacket? why do you ask?" she shakes her head, "oh whatever." cass says, not letting you reply. she takes her jacket off, and you notice that the inside of it has pockets. and in the right pocket is a little card that's poking out. you wonder how long she had it there, and what the card says. cassidy glances at you before taking the card out, and handing it to you. "read it." she commands you, nodding at you as you reach out to take it. you slowly open the card, being greeted by neat writing, small and in pretty blue ink.

i'm sorry that i couldn't get to stay with you. i know a card isnt as efficient as talking to you in person, but i had to. by the time youre reading this, my soul might already have been given up to elsewhere. i dont want to make you cry my darling, but i had to leave soon. i gave you this jacket in hopes of you remembering me, even when your at the point of your life when your like me! i knew you always wanted this jacket, but i said i could never afford it. oh, it was certainly expensive. so i decided to give you it now. its all yours, sweetie. always stay strong honey. i love you, my lil peach.

you tilt your head in confusion before handing the card back to cassidy, and she puts it back in her jacket's inner pockets and puts her jacket back on. "its from my grandmother when i was younger, basically. my mother, well, i'm not sure what happened to her but my grandmother mainly took care of me my whole life. i remember always wanting this jacket, so quite a lot of years ago when she passed away, she bought me this jacket. i still wear it to this day. i try to keep it in top shape, and try to fix anything that happens to it, but i still have a few small holes here and there." she points to a few holes on her jacket. "this jacket is really important to me, even if the price of it dropped over the years. well, i guess that's all i got to say for now. bye?" she tries shooing you off, but you explain to her you have more questions for her. she groans, but reluctantly agrees.

peach? lil peach? why why why?: cassidy mumbles something, but shakes her head and turns back to you. "well uh, it was first my grandmother that called me 'lil peach', but it just kinda spread along my friends so uh, i guess that's my official nickname now, besides cass." she explains with a shrug. you ask why and when her grandmother started calling her that. "i don't remember exactly when, but i remember why, i guess." she shrugs again. you think she shrugs a lot. "we had a peach tree in the backyard of our house, and everyday i'd kinda just go outside with my grandmother and watch it grow, play around it and such. she started calling me 'lil peach' when the peaches were ready to be eaten, since i used to be as sweet as the peaches back then or something. don't know where the 'lil' came from, since i'm way bigger than those small fruits. but yeah." cassidy shrugs for the hundredth time. she gives you a alright, anymore weird questions?, and you nod slightly. she rolls her eyes, but allows more questions to be asked. but only this time.

hobbies and / or occupation?: "what's the next question? 'how many peaches do you eat a day?' oh whatever." she sighs with a shrug. too many shrugs. "i'm a violinist in training. i hope to become a professional one day, possibly be the most famous. besides that, i enjoy playing soccer with a few of my friends at times, and doodle things but that's all, i guess. i'm not a majorly interesting person," cass stops herself, "for now." she ends with a smile. your a little confused on the ''for now'', but don't ask about it. you tell her that's all for the questions, and she smiles brightly before shooing you off.

raised by her mother and grandmother; they were extremely close. she's had a love of photography ever since she was young, and to a lesser extent drawing as well. her favorite things to capture or recreate are moments of sweet nostalgia, and her work has been recognized by her peers in the photography community. despite the fact that she's on the rise, she dislikes the institution of fine art, believing it to be inherently inaccessible to the general populace and built on classism. having come from a poor family, she wants to make beautiful things accessible to the public. she's a warm, gentle spirit, but determined; she's equal parts dreamer and realist, understanding the intricacies of growing up as an adult in a confusing world without losing touch of the child-like wonder that she remembers so fondly from her days while her grandmother and mother were alive.
