Ælfric is far from a pleasant viscet to be around. This kingly viscet isn't
what anyone might call "friendly"⎯⎯no, he is incredibly hostile. The evil
of the Unseelie has corrupted him far beyond words from his youth; he
is now but a shadow of the viscet he once was. An incredibly powerful
shadow. He has little patience, quick to anger, and his anger is violent
and white-hot. King Ælfric is aggressive and dominant, very militaristic
and strict in his ways. To disobey him is to personally insult him, and he
does not take insults well. He is very organized, almost obsessively so,
and he doesn't forget things easily. Although, this means he does not
forgive things, either; truly, gaining Ælfric's forgiveness is far easier said
than done.

Ælfric, though not inherently social, has many relationships that
are going the equivalent of 'good'. It is not purely out of choice,
however, that he has so many contacts; after all, the court of the
evil fey is not a small thing, and it is something that has various
repercussions in the world⎯⎯or worlds⎯⎯that it invades. This means
not getting in the way of those with similar intentions, and, quite
similarly, helping those who need it, if their intentions are in the
so-called "right place", which for Ælfric and his Court, is not the
right place at all.

Most of King Ælfric's relationships are purely business, some were
created out of chance, and few, very few, are based along friend
-ship or trust; these words have little meaning to the King of the
most untrustworthy, unfriendly creatures of all. Contracts and
mutually beneficial terms are the only reasons that Ælfric can
see to ever become close with anyone. That is, with the excep
-tion of one. [Viscet].

A collection of stories will be put in this box, as it is far easier
and more telling to show how Ælfric and his relationships work
than to explain it in detail. These stories will mostly be of how he
and the other party met, but they may be even more than that.

• I'm thinking of showing the relationships in short stories instead of just writing about their relationship, mm................... maybe in the relationships box just talk about how he forms relationships & then link to each one? they'll probably all be done on google docs or somethin

• shadow boy is Casphor. A smol unseelie that serves as an advisor sort of. he's pretty stereotypical of the unseelie and gets pretty negative towards the king around point #9
• the unseelie pretty much. hate with a burning passion those who aren't unseelie.
• king/general wasn't always unseelie tho. he used to be a mortal viscet. Then ?? Something happens. (>targeted? dies on unholy land? iDk) he becomes fey but his magic is pure unseelie - dark, bloody and cruel. it's hard to resist the temptation of his magic.
