My jaw dropped at Katsa's suggestion.
"What?!" I exclaimed, shaking my head furiously. "No! I could never do that! You know I won't do those kinds of jobs." I heard Katsa groan behind me. "Casp, it's not a choice. If Lord wants you to do it, you know you have to do it."
I could hear the slight irritation in my best friends voice, and wondered if it was irritation towards me, or the Lord. I gave out a little sigh. Sometimes I wished I worked for another King, in another land, where they weren't fighting all the time. I sat down on the couch with a 'humph' and began to imagine a fantasy world. Until Katsa stuck her head in my face.
"Let's go, daydreamer." She stood back up, and threw my cape into my lap. I heard her voice even after she was out the door.
"Put this on, doofus."
