I've been mega excited to see all of these designs being released for the public eye, and I sure hope you guys love them too! They seem to be getting a lot of attention, so that's a great sign c: no complaints so far either, so that's even better!

Alright, I tried to be a little symbolic with this one! I wanted it to kind of show the first signs of spring and all that fun stuff. So the white represents the last of the snow as we go into spring <3 I hope you guys like it c:

This one is going to be a limited impress me with a required question and required birb gif. The question is: do they miss the winter months, or are they glad spring is here? Tell me why in 500 words or less. As for the bird gif, it doesn't need to be a blue jay, it can be any type of bird. I just really love birds and want to see some gifs of them! For the rest of the form, you have 2000 words to go crazy with. Art limit is 4 pieces. it really is the simple things in life that can bring you the most joy. the first snow fall is beautiful, but it's the snow falling from the trees at the end of winter that Ava finds much more beautiful. though the sun can illuminate the blankets of snow during winter, the blinding white can get monotonous and boring-- it's the first signs of spring that really gets the girl excited. the rushing of the river when it thaws below. the sounds of chirping birds and critters that had taken to hibernation rustling in the slush, hunting for their first real meal in months. winter lasts far longer in Auwei - the temperate location of their hidden paradise provides them with the springs and summers a good majority of the planet never sees. not that Ava knows this. she wouldn't have it any other way, however, as she could cry with joy each spring when she sees the strands of green-brown grass poking through the heavy white.

the bustle of life is what truly makes it for her. though the world is blanketed, the girl finds no warmth in the cold atmosphere - not just in temperature, but in socialization as well. many of the creatures in her hidden world are sleeping during the peak frozen months, and Ava is one of the few who does not sleep the monotony away. without friends and family to turn to during these quiet times, the blue girl is just that-- blue. a sadness shrouds her when the first snows fall, and it tends to carry on far into the winter. only when the sun begins to peek through the dreary grey skies and only when large piles of snow falls from the branches of the large trees does she finally feel at peace. the loud thumps of fallen snow and the creaks and bouncing of branches is a welcome break in the ice, so to speak. the cold silence is deafening for the poor girl, and she only truly comes alive again when the world around her explodes in chitter and chatter.

one of the main things Ava looks forward to in the spring is a mysterious creature that comes around and seemingly brings spring to life-- a colourful girl that resembles herself, with varying differences. Ava has never seen another Viscet, and though she thinks this creature bringing flowers and warmth to her home is one of her kind, she knows it's more than likely a far-fetched notion. regardless, the shy blue bird will follow the other from the safety of her branches and watch with curious blues as this hidden world comes to life. thank you, mysterious pastel lady. your presence makes the flowers on her tail bloom, and puts a much needed spring to her step.

i would like to, if i may, tell you a story about the Yelsas Forests of Auwei.

in the more temperate regions of our snow planet there lies an enormous crater, carved out eons ago when the planet was still growing and forming into the snowy world we know today. the warmth sparked a different kind of evolution, and the forests tucked away still remain undiscovered. these forests, if you are still confused and can not understand, resemble your Amazon rain forests, or perhaps the thick jungles that have remained pure and untouched by man. the similarities are in privacy alone, as the vegetation and animal life far surpass anything you may have seen or claimed to have seen in your world. Yelsas is a mystery, even to those who call Auwei home - the humans never found it, and the other creatures of the planet have only skewed fantasies to go by.

it's here in Yelsas where our young Ava resides-- it is the only home she has ever known and though one could say she is sheltered or without knowledge of the snow plains outside her colourful world, she is merely blissfully unawares of the vastness that surrounds her. feral, perhaps, is one of the more delicate ways to describe her and the creatures that reside within Yelsas. though they are intelligent - exceedingly so - they are still rather primitive and wild. Ava, for example, has never interacted with another Viscet and thus has never learned to communicate as the others have on the outside. the blue girl uses chirps and whistles to communicate with the creatures around her. they all live in a rather symbiotic relationship with one another-- should a predator be in the area, Ava's tree top vantage point allows her to spot the threat and she alerts those down below with sharp cries and calls. in retrospect, she also uses these calls to lure in her own prey. don't get too comfortable with the girl.

there are many theories about Ava. at least... one could assume there would be, should she ever be discovered. she's an odd creature - interesting in her design and though some of the other forest dwelling critters below have wood-like patterns to their fur, or splotches of colour that help them camouflage, Ava is a special case. her tail, where other Viscets would have a balanced and long furred tail, is vine-like and unlike anything anyone has seen before. one could argue of course that the tail is made up entirely of vines for real, though that would just be silly wouldn't it? i would argue it. the flowers on the appendage bloom in the spring after all, and it is far more versatile than a regular muscular tail would be. is it evolution at it's finest? it's worst? another theory may be that the girl is a released experiment - perhaps an escaped one. in the age of humans and creature experimentation, it's entirely possible. perhaps a little far-fetched in the notion that literal vines are growing out of the Viscet's rear end, but nothing is impossible.

Doctor Kultz, i have a strongly worded letter for you residing in the palm of my closed fist.

the tail isn't all bad - not that i had ever claimed it terrible, of course, but one can understand the hesitation in commenting on it at all. with it's versatility, Ava has found her comfort zone among the spread out branches of the tall trees and large bushes of Yelsas. where anyone who knows what a Viscet is would know they reside mostly on the solid ground, the blue gymnast has taken to living her life up above and hardly stepping foot on solid ground unless absolutely necessary. the tail aids her in balance and safety. the girl harbors other bird-like qualities-- the chirping and whistling of course being one of them. the life up above, and even the food she favours leans toward the avian way. she nests and collects, and even migrates from one end of the forest to the other each winter. she's certainly the most interesting bird i've ever seen!

Ava is one of the most curious little darlings you will ever meet. if there's a crack or hole in a surface, she's sticking her face into it immediately to investigate what's inside. this, of course, is one of the worst things she could do as she's had some not-so-friendly run ins with angry critters protecting their homes. not much changes in her dense forest home, but when one little thing is out of place of off, Ava's curiosity urges her to go figure out what's going on.

Ava has always been an independent creature. she has no memory of ever having had a family - she raised herself and has been alone for as long as she can remember. this doesn't particularly make her lonely, however. Ava enjoys her independence! she can do whatever she wants, whenever she wants, wherever she wants and nobody can say a thing about it. not that it's something that concerns her to begin with-- when all you know is being alone, that's all you really crave after a while. change is scary.

despite her wild and feral nature, Ava is incredibly gentle. even with other creatures or prey animals, she can be very gentle and kind. though her baser instincts tell her to simply eat, sleep and survive, Ava is intelligent enough to realise that being gentle and kind and being the best that you can be is what one should truly strive for. being rude and unkind is entirely unnecessary. Ava will go above and beyond and completely out of her way in order to make sure others know that she is no threat and that she only wants peace.

to coincide with her curiosity, Ava can be extremely stubborn. she's kind, of course. she never once aggressively pokes and prods, but she will continually try, try again. and again. and again. and once more for good measure. once she has her mind set on something, there's no stopping her... but this can also cause an incredible amount of tension between herself and other creatures. it can also stress her out when she's unable to find the answers she's looking for.

with all the free time in the world to daydream and drift away, it's really no surprise that Ava can be incredibly absentminded. there are times where she's almost fallen from the trees while drifting off in her own mind-- she doesn't pay attention, and it generally does her more harm than good. especially up in the tall tree tops. it could be far worse. it isn't as though she has any conversational partners to be accidentally ignoring while she drifts away.

they say the best thing a girl can be in the world is foolish. this isn't really true in Ava's case. her foolishness can get her into some less than savory situations, and though she's smart enough to know better... there's her curiosity again. it makes her far too trusting, her foolishness. she's easily swayed and can trust others far too quickly, even if all flags are red.

one could assume that with her vine tail and the acrobatics she can do while in the trees that Ava is full of grace-- the complete opposite is true. Ava is one of the most graceless creatures out there. her body isn't meant for the trees and bushes she loves to reside in, and though she has adapted to her life style to the best of her abilities, Viscets were not meant for the tree tops. they were meant for the ground. she trips over paw prints in the dirt. wind knocks her off balance and she judges her jumps too shortly at times.

Spring will, and always will be, Lore's favorite season for a few reasons. He definitely enjoys its return.

Spring marks the return of many species of birds in his homelands. During the winter, Lore has a hard time spotting his feathered friends that stay during the pitifully cold season, and this leads to a hard time hearing their beautiful singing. So, as winter drags along, Lore spends every waiting minute praying for spring and the return of the migrating birds. He waits in pitiful agony all winter, longing to hear their musical singing. It's his lullaby, the only thing that can lure him to sleep at night. It's the only music he yearns to hear throughout the day. He settles a top of his home, watching the setting sun, praying that when it rises in the morning, it will drag spring along with it. Every morning spring does not come, Lore rests upon his home to wait longer. He would sit there for as long as winter lasts if he truly wanted; yet he can only last waiting for a few days. Lore is patient enough to sit for those days, watching the sun set and rise every passing day. If he could, Lore himself would go to the gods to beg for spring to come. Whenever he hears a bird in the winter, Lore expects the winter to end the next morning. It gives him hope for the coming spring.

Two other reasons Lore is happy spring has returned are the increasing warmth and the drizzling rain. Lore has a phobia of the cold. So, typically, he brings out a ragged old blanket and scarf outside, something to keep him constantly warm. He snuggles up with them to watch the sun. The warmth of the spring gives him confidence, and he can no longer fear the cold. Lore as well loves the rain, and definitely believes the saying "April showers bring May flowers!" To him, rain is the best thing to happen. It is far more enjoyable than the icky cold snow during the winter. Spring is a time of enjoyment for Lore, and he adores it in every way. The warmth allows for him to escape from the winter anxiety. The rain gives him hope. It helps the land to restore to its former beauty, returning the birds' homes (and other animals' homes too). He is always eager to accept the drizzling rain when it comes, and is the type to run out to dance in it.

Lore is quite happy spring is here and that winter is gone. His bird friends have finally returned, and he can listen to their songs night and day. He can happily accept rain with open arms, and would always trade snow for rain. Now that spring is here, Lore no longer has anxiety from the cold. The warmth gives him something to look forward to; a warm summer. So, Lore is happy spring is here and wants it over winter.

Tidbits ;;

» When Lore was much younger, he was diagnosed with autism. As he grew, Lore began to outgrow the symptoms and diagnosis. Now, he barely seems to remember having it since he had been so young.

» Lore always carries around a ragged old blue jay plush. It was a huge comfort item for him when he was small and it reminded younger him of himself. Happily, one day he managed to find it. It still seemed to have the comforting trance on him, and he happily carries around the old plush.

» He has a habit of wrapping his tail around anything he can find, as long as it's inanimate. Rocks, trees, fences, etc. He only really does this when he's sleeping against said object, or if he's sitting/leaning against it.

» Lore's dream has always been to become an aviator; or to at least fly a plane. He's always wanted to fly just like his feathered friends. He's loved watching planes flying above his field when he was younger, and would tug on his momma's leg to point it out.

» He loves to feed the birds; either by throwing seed out or holding very still with it in his paw to test to see if one would land. Luckily, one did at one point. It was a beautiful cardinal. He is one of many who believe that the cardinal is an angel visiting; and he named it after his mother.

» He loves sweet food. Offer any kind of sweet food to him and expect it gone in seconds. Lore has an extreme sweet tooth.

» Along with birds, Lore's other favorite animal is a cat. He loves their sweet purrs and soft fur. While he knows birds and cats don't get along, he loves them both dearly.

» He is deathly afraid of spiders and insects. Keep them far as possible from him.

» Lore is allergic to bees and peanuts. Luckily, he doesn't like either. So, he stays far from either. Especially since he could possibly die if he did get close.

Lore is extremely curious and adventurous. He loves exploring the unknown, traveling where no one else would see. Lore is very outgoing and loves to make new friends. He is utterly loyal and would keep a secret to his grave. Lore could never hurt a friend on purpose, and does all he can to keep them close to him. He loves to pull pranks and joke around with, well, anyone. He is extremely playful, and does everything he can to get a kick out of it. Like wearing sock puppets on his paws, or mimicking random animals. Some may say that Lore has a strange sense of humor, and is just strange in general. Luckily, Lore knows where a line is drawn, and never does anything inappropriate. However, Lore doesn't have a filter. He says whatever comes to his mind first, and at times, it isn't something that is appropriate. Yes, this has have gotten him in trouble before, but he definitely apologizes profusely. Lore can be a little... puppy-doggish when it comes to some one being upset with him. He does whatever he can to apologize, and even follows them around with his famous puppy dog eyes until they let him apologize. Lore hates when people are mad at him.

He can be quite intelligent and clever; doing all he can to think through a tough puzzle. Lore's very rambunctious and happy-go-lucky. He can be considered quite the trouble maker. He's noisy and loud, which he doesn't mean at times. At times, Lore can be very, very quiet. He's only like this when he's resting or sneaking about. He accepts everyone and anyone. He is understanding and kind. Yet, at times, Lore can be greedy and keep things to himself. He always finds himself being busy. Either doing this or doing that, and he definitely does not mind. Being busy keeps his mind off things Lore doesn't want to exactly think about. Lore definitely has a sharp eye when it comes to detail; and looking out for danger. He's a bit of a perfectionist, and does all he can to keep things the way he wants it; and straight.

Zeltia "Tia" - Good friend
Lore has always been friends with Zeltia, for as long as he can remember. They get along well, always working pranks together. Lore feels as if Zeltia is a sister to him, and will do anything to protect her. He loves to see her happy, and will give up his soul to see it last. Tia has helped Lore through many of his own dark times, and he has helped her as well. They are very close.

Raven - Good friend
These two met a few years ago. Lore found it quite easy to grow close to Raven, and was quite happy to see him whenever they did run into each other. While Raven is a demon, Lore loves Raven as if he were his older brother. He doesn't mind Raven's flirtatious remarks to anyone. Lore is easily very fond of him, and will do anything to keep the other male safe.

Kishi - Friend
Lore has just recently met Kishi. He finds her bold personality to be fun, and loves hanging around her. Lore loves adventuring and exploring with her, and that's how he originally met Kishi. He's been begging her to teach him how to paint and that sort. He truly enjoys being with her, and spends time with Kishi whenever he has time to.

Zoria - Enemy
While he may try to get along with a lot of Viscets, Lore cannot stand Zoria. She's a huge jerk to him, and he cannot stand her. Strangely to him, Zoria has attempted multiple times to try and light him on fire or set her demonic (literally) father after him for no reason. Lore has no need to be around her, and does all he can to avoid her.

name: Raymond Nicknames or Ray, Ray Ray (he hates that one though), Spike, Blue, Bluey, or Blue Jay.

Tell me why or why not in 500 words or less: They miss winter because they love the snow, how cold it is, he sometimes to get to sled, how your breathe looks like in the air, and the blizzards and snowstorms! And it reminds them of the time when him and his grandpa would hike in the winter and they'd go to private place that no one could help get them out if they got lost and they'd hike for hours! He still hikes in the winter still and he's found a new spot that's near the mountains, sometimes he goes climbing the mountains. That and there's a cafe that makes the best hot chocolate and they don't sell the hot chocolate at any other times also he can't make it himself, the recipe's a secret, but one day he plans to go work there and find out the recipe! Or just go sneak into the place and find out for himself.... 157 words

Personality: Ray may seem trustworthy at first, but he actually is not! He's great at manipulating, spreading rumors about you behind your back, lying, and is really clever and he seems to only do this for revenge and pleasure, so watch out! He can be a grump and he is really intelligent than what people may think at first glance. He's really bossy and sometimes he's rude without even realizing it! Though he can be decent and nice to others, it's just rare to see him kind and actually trustworthy.... I wonder why he's like this?
Likes and dislikes: He likes ravens and other birds, other animals, bird watching, drawing, art, cats, Pokemon, being alone, reading books, cake, pie, anything sugar (including sugar, brown, sugar, powdered sugar, ect), oreos, bugs, dragons, spiders, and other things... He dislikes usually being around others, humans, and pretty much everything else...
Backstory: I know what you're thinking! He was bullied, hurt, either abused or hurt in someway by his parents and blah blah blah and that's why he's the way he is, but actually he had a really good past! He's just usually a jerk and he just usually doesn't want to be around with people and usually hates everyone. When he was just a viscling (did I say that right?) he didn't want anything to do with anyone and would rarely play with anyone else and he would do things independently, though that didn't stop his parents, siblings, and even the rest of the pack to try to get him to socialize and that's why he ran away from his pack one night because he got tired of everyone wanting to get him to play with his sibling and socialize because all he wanted to was just to be alone and do what he wants so he then had to be on his and get his own food, which is what he wanted anyways so it wasn't a big deal to him and he was just fine and dandy on his own then he eventually found a place for him to live in and he avoided humans as much as possible. And the sad thing is, he has never learned to socialize properly, hasn't learned to have proper manners, doesn't feel any emotion, doesn't miss his family, and is basically a sociopath!
Favorite bird and why: Cardinal

because it ironically reminds him of himself, even though it isn't a blue jay he feels like that he is very similar to a cardinal and just feels spiritually, emotionally, and mentally connected to the bird on a deep level and he just likes how it looks.
Favorite Music: He doesn't have one as he can't decide so he'll respond with "All my favorite songs are my favorite." purposely leaving the answer mysterious.
