Describe what went wrong with their Valentines Day (max. 200 words)

Alec had prepared everything so carefully, and had spent months in baking classes. He had gathered every ingredient, and had checked the measurements seven times over. He had tried, and tried, and tried again. After the second night of baking and failing miserably, he still pushed on, ambition and passion driving him to succeed. FInally, he had baked them; the perfect cupcakes. The icing was fluffy, and the decorations even and neat. Everything about them showed hard work and determination. He poured his very soul into it, his entire heart! When Alec had presented them to the girl he adored, however, she gave the few fatal words that would break his heart,

"Alec...? Um, someone already asked me on a date... and, um, I can't actually have any gluten.."

Alec's heart had sunk, and all he could respond with was a nod and the tiniest, "Oh..! Sorry about that". All that hard work had been for absolutely nothing...! But... he was glad the girl he had liked was happy, even if it was with someone else.

Describe what went wrong with their Valentines Day:

He had taken his beloved out. He had brought them out to see one of those park-and-watch movies, yet without a car, and it seemed to be going as well as it could despite that. A prickle of hope was felt, as after they got to a café and got their regular seats beside the window and all.

A few Kalons went up to the window and started making faces at the par through the window, some even throwing them rude gestures. Daveed was annoyed, but he noticed his partner wasn't fazed and continued swirling her mixing stick around in her drink. He turned away to the counter instead- ignoring the immature bunch outside.

The Kalons outside started moderately shouting and began chatting up Daveed's date through the window, which triggered a blush. Having enough, Daveed jumped off his soft seat and stormed outside, his paws hitting the warm slate ground as he rushed over to the Kalons and started scolding them for being immature.

His date followed him out, scowling. Being told that they Kalons were friends,h is fur glowed red. By now, a large crowd had formed to watch, before Daveed turned around and walked away, head down. [200/200]

It was the perfect day. Alec was sure nothing could go wrong; sat in his bar,
as usual, reminiscing on how he... met him. They laughed, talked...
they even danced. The way he held him. Alec literally glowed that night.

Not long later, upset. Glow dimming. He was moving away.
They shared calls...

Alec had just finished work. The night sky was pristine. He saw couples
walk down the street. Alec almost wished that he was still here,
to share these sights with.

One missed call.

Excited, Alec rushed home, made sure he was looking his absolute best.
He was smiling for once. His markings were glowing ever so brightly.
Alec called him back...

The camera of his laptop turned on, and Alec stared at his phone...
unable to get rid of the eyes of a stranger.

"Hello?"

"Hello. I have something to tell you." And that was when he
spilled the story - of him.

Alec never knew what happened after that. He was so close - so close.
Lied to, betrayed. His markings dulled, but still glowed... his heart
still yearned for the one that was no longer his.

(Describe what went wrong with their Valentines Day)

Fletcher always pretends to hate Valentines Day. No one knows exactly why this is, though he might be embarrassed to like such a “cute” holiday. His true feelings for Valentines are rather obvious, however. Some have seen him planning on the perfect gift to get his crush for months on end...

This Valentines day was the day he thought it would all come together. His exquisitely crafted jewelry box, carved out of cherry wood was hidden in his pocket, as he prepared to ring her doorbell and then flee the area. I can do this. He took a deep breath, to cleanse his thoughts, then heard the sound of the doorbell echo through the grand halls of the house.
“Um, Fletcher? I’m right here.”
“What?! Oh, uhh... I was just... uhh... dropping something off!” He threw the cherry box at her and ran off.
“Huh, weird! Oh well.” She shrugged and opened the little box. Inside was a love poem, tied in a scroll. “But... I thought he hated Valentines day! I would have gotten him something!”

She, of course, was too shy to tell him she liked him, which equals a brokenhearted, gloomy Fletcher for a long few months.

If you asked Vertigo if he believed in true love he
would say no. Why? For ages, his parents have
been fighting, shrieking at each other, going at each
other's throats and subconsciously making their
children take sides. Since he was always a
peacemaker, a mild wallflower, Vertigo hated
having to pick sides. Valentine's Day loomed over
the family like an angry red cloud - Cupid's arrows
seemed to be piercing his parents' with hatred
rather than love. Tension burned in the air as he
turned a blind eye and ear to the vicious words
hurled through the air, meant to hurt. At night, he
lay curled in his bed, tears staining his pillow with
no one to comfort him and wishing that his parents
would cease their endless quarreling. Vertigo has
never dated before but he knows enough about
love to know it's not real and doesn't last. A part of
him, the childish, persistent part of him keeps
insisting that it does but is rarely found. Even in
the books he reads, love sometimes did not find a
way to bloom. To Vertigo, that dreadful Valentine's
Day served as proof that love can only end in grief
and heartbreak.

Monday 13th February. It was an ordinary day on an ordinary street, and an ordinary dog
was chasing another ordinary dog, because dogs like to do that. In an ordinary
house, an excited kalon lay awkwardly but comfortably, mind you, deep in ebay. You see,
he had asked one of his crushes out, and they had happily accepted! They'd booked a table in
Burger King.

Now, Malloray was browsing ebay, right? He found a beautiful rose bouquet, and it seemed
like a wonderful gift for his lovely date. He sighed happily, and still in that awkward but comfortable
position, he fell asleep.
Mallory, he owns a cat. And that cat was still awake. It padded across the computer, and then
onto Mallory, making itself a small bed in his fur.

They met at Burger king the next day, section C ; table 23 & 24. As they sat down, a beautifully wrapped lump
lay on their table. Mallory smiled.
His date smiled back, and started unwrapping the present. An eyebrow arched, as they
revealed it to be a cactus. When the cat walked across the computer, it must have ordered it!
Mallory blushed, and his fur glowed in embarrassment. What a day. [200/200]
