Walk the Lunar Woods during the day? What's the fun in that? Who would do such a thing? Well, you would, apparently. And to follow four sentences in a row beginning with the letter 'W'; Who woulda thunk it that all of the woods' favorite little denizens would be asleep when it's so nice and sunny out? Probably anyone who's never seen a possum waddling about during the day.
Not a single little white face can be seen in the trees - they're all burrowing high in up in the knots of the trees or sprawling across the branches up there. They don't care that you're here right now - they want to get some sleep, damnit.
Right as you begin to move on, you see a small line of pink by the base of one of the trees -the tail of a single moonrat, sitting on the ground with its face pressed into the trunk as if bemoaning great failure. Apparently this maturing moonrat has just discovered that there is a certain size limit to being able to snooze upside-down, and is too sleepy to climb back up the tree. It just sits there in silent defeat.

For shame.

Having nothing with me other than a pack, I slid my pack off my shoulders and slide the MoonRat into my pack. Lifting it, I struggle to put the pack back on. Good thing I have sturdy shoulders.. 'Sleep well, little, Perplex'

"Perplex" quickly falls asleep in your pack, finding it quite comfortable compared to the ground. A soft nest and kind company goes a long way towards dispelling the bummer debuff.
