ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴀʀᴇ ᴋᴀʟᴏɴs? wrote:Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.
Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.
Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!
My first adopt as a GA!based off of the rainbow trout, AKA my spirit animal.

sunset
take a frame and save forever
the colors i did see
such a sight did eyes see never
all this in a creation you painted just for me
the red and yellow still glare brightly as i ponder
on the scene that was before my eyes
to describe the sight i experienced in wonder
has taken me numerous tries
vibrant trees and a misty mountain
were placed behind a great green field
as the sky began to darken
radiant splashes were revealed
the clouds were as wisps of cotton
all in the world was tranquil and frozen
a breath of sweet oxygen i had gotten
my lungs experienced an intense explosion
my pounding heart was overflowed
and my watery eyes welled up
in the quiet stillness a clam voice bellowed
a song as sweet as the sweetest syrup
the soft, gentle and pale blue sky
looked so opaque and translucent
in that instant there was no distance between you and i
for a moment so pure there is no remnant
however i know that i am yours forever just as you are mine

Poem: Spirit of the Rainbow Trout - by Shatterhowl (created as a joke)
Tomorrow you’ll see much so more as the willow to me. Under the outflow’s stream of beauty, comes the rainbow of the fish all covered so fruity. With the miracle making’s magic, there he goes from moscow to chicago- bestowing upon those who cry forth, 'Hello! Hello!’ - The rainbow trout was much more. He was the spirit animal of Rainbow Noivern. Nevermore.

Poem:
My favorite colors are green and brown.
Green-leafed trees polka-dot our town.
Green’s the color of farm pond scum,
and green’s the color of green tea gum.
Copper turns green when it’s weathered.
Some Amazon parrots are green-feathered.
Green is the color Army privates wear,
and green’s what the young clerk dyed his hair.
The city of Oz was oh so green!
Green is the color of a string bean.
If you’re nauseous you’re “green around the gills”,
and I’d be “green with envy” if you had no bills.
Green beer is drunk on St. Patrick’s Day.
Green is the color of newly mowed hay.
A wilted green salad looks so sad,
but a green stick fracture is “not so bad”.
Greenbacks are U.S. paper money.
From green clover bees make clover honey.
A green traffic light tells me to go,
and a green banana ain’t ripe you know.
A green-winged teal is a small duck,
and a green four-leafed clover may bring you luck.
I’ve heard of “green thumb” but not “green nose”.
I wonder if green is the color of gangrened toes.

Poem:
Life is like a river, of which we've all been chosen to swim
although the river is bright, our outcome seems pretty dim
those who seek enlightenment, are searching for hearts
made of gold, but the river knows who's heart is willing to
blossom and glow.
i've came from the sunny valleys, and sought for the open
sea, for i thought in it's grey expanses, that peace would
come to me. all my life they've always told me that my
heart would never be gold, but they have been mistaken,
because the river took me into it's hold.
the river shall lead me to the secrets they imprison.
other fish may never swim the paths i have envisioned,
for the river will lose them and leave them, their pride
will soon diminish.
but i, the brook trout, strong, bold, and brave. will carry on with
powerful strides, even if i just so happen to die. i know that my
reward is immense, and i will perish with all of my pride.
i'm looking for the secrets, the ones that the river holds, and i'm
trying to find the sea, who knows how long i have to go.

Come when my heart is full of grief
And make my heart merry;
Come when the leaves will fall
or on the morning ferry;
Come when the first petals fall
Come when the summer glows so bright
Come when the first snow falls;
And trust me, we will be alright

The Swan King.
Fine fibre lashes flicker, flutter.
Sailing trance-like on warm reflected glass,
Royal icing sculpture, still Lily-White feathers.
Ripples giggling, Dragon Flies dipping,
Sticklebacks cha-cha clumsily within own shadows.
as pulsing circles steady...peaceful.
Lilac Water-lilies whirl-curl open,
as perfumes whoosh! Midges hypnotic.
Verdant reeds stand stiff, honouring dawn’s yellow-zest ribbons,
as a frozen Butterfly poses for flight.
‘S’ curved, sparkling neck, full-stop onyx pupils,
he glance-glares at a Mallard trio...
olive flecked necks scuba dive in shell-pink wellies,
then line-dance...
’One-two, one web forward,
two-three, one web back.
four-five shake booty!
six-seven shine like a rainbow!’
Rainbow Trout ker-plop leap in this shrine-still lake,
mountains laminate into silver firewater.
As a billion tiny stars come together enhancing wizard–white plumage
the Swan Queen follows his webbed tracks.
Wisps of twirling mist creep in gentle hush,
lovers serenely drift beneath skies of solar-blue,
on bluish-wine water, saturated in Heaven–leaking light,
a fading fairytale vanishes into Moonlight’s magical veiled silk voile.

Poem:
'Oh what is brighter than the light?
What is darker than the night?
What is keener than an axe?
What is softer than melting wax?
Truth is brighter than the light,
Falsehood darker than the night,
Revenge is keener than the axe,
And love is softer than melting wax.'
Riddle Song by Cassandra Clare, from her novel Clockwork Princess
