xxx↪ Occupation in-depth ;; As a high school student, Fauna studies math, English, science, and history for academics, and for her electives, she has art. The reason why she has art is just so she can draw the paranormal things she either thinks about or thinks she sees. She is a C student, which is disappointing in her mother's eyes.
x→ Personality ;; Fauna very adventurous and curious, sometimes going to great lengths just to see something. However, with this, comes her concern about danger. She doesn't care if what she does puts herself or others in danger, no matter how close she is to them. She always acts before she thinks, which leads to very questionable situations that would normally strike social anxiety into others. She is very social, yet she goes on forever about something, which causes her to be known as the nerd.
x→ Backstory ;; As a child, Fauna has always been interested in the paranormal. She liked the idea that there was always something out there. It didn't matter what it was, she just was always interested. Maybe it came from the fact that her father told her so many myths and stories, that she believed they were real. He never told her that they were fake, because she was so interested. Every day, Fauna would either write or doodle a little creature that either her father told her about or that she thought of. She thought she saw a ghost one time back when she was 9 in the trees. She went to chase after it, but the white blur vanished. When she saw her father later that day, she ran up to him. "Dad, Dad! Guess what!?" She asked him. "What is it, sweetie?" Her father replied. "I think I saw one of the ghosts you told me about! It was white and had black eyes that-" She was saying before her mother interupted her. "Fauna, you know that isn't real!" She said harshly. Fauna felt her world break right there. "W-What!? Of course it's real, Dad tells me it's real!" Her mother sighed and shook her head. "When will you wake up, Fauna? You're doing poorly in school, and all you care about are you mindless fantasies... Won't you ever quit?" After that day, Fauna just was more interested. She would always tell her dad about all the experiences she had and the things she thought of, whether it was when she was awake or asleep.
xxx↪ How she got her scarf;; On her fifteenth birthday, Fauna had received a gift from her father. It had ghost wrapping paper on a black box. She teared through the wrapping paper and open the box. Inside was a little pin that said "Paranormal? It's just regular normal!" and an orange scarf with white ghosts on it. She went to tell her father thank you when she found a note inside the box. "My dear Fauna, I am sorry I couldn't be here for your birthday. I left you these gifts in memory of me, as I have to go somewhere. Where I am going isn't any concern to you, but, if it is before noon you can try and see me at the airport before I go. Love, you Father." When Fauna read that, she began to cry. But, she realized she could visit her dad one last time. She wrapped the scarf around her neck and put the small pin on it, then ran to the kitchen. The clock said it was 10 am. "I gotta go, Mom!" She shouted as she ran out the door, going as fast as she possibly could. She managed to get to the airport in thirty minutes, gasping for breath at this point. When she burst through the doors, she quickly found a security guard. "Sir.... Can I.... Go to gate... 12? My father... is... there..." She said, between breaths. The security guard narrowed his eyes. "Fine, but just this once. I'll take you through security really quick, okay? But, unless you have a ticket, you are not allowed to fly." He said. He then lead Fauna through security and to the gate. She spotted her father and ran to him. "Dad!" She said, jumping on top of him. "Please, don't go..." She said, as she hugged him. "Fauna, I know that you don't want me to go- I don't want to either. But, I have to. You have my phone number, right? You can always call me. And that scarf I gave you-" He said, not realizing she was wearing the scarf until now. "Oh, you're wearing it! It looks great on you." Then, the plane for Fauna's father landed. "I have to go. Be good, alright? You're mother would expect no less." He said, getting up and grabbed his lugage. "Bye Fauna, I love you!" He said. Fauna started to cry. "N-No.." The security guard from earlier grabbed her paw. "Come on, miss, it's time for you to go back home." He said, leading her to the entrance. She was crying as she walked back home. When she entered the door, her mother was glaring at her. "From this point on, Fauna, no more of your paranormal nonsense unless you can do better in school. You have Fs in all of your classes. How do you expect to graduate?" She asked. Fauna sighed and walked to her room. She closed the door behind her on flopped onto her bed. She wrapped the scarf around her. "I won't let you down, Dad... I'll become the best paranormal discoverer ever.."
