Username: commandant
Name: Yukon Kodah
Gender: Male
Personality: Yukon is a pretty stand-up guy; he doesn't like to break (too many) rules, is fairly reliable (although honest isn't
always the case), and is generally laid back and more relaxed than the company in which he travels with. He is more extroverted and talkative, although when a conversation bores and/or disinterests him he won't exactly hide it. He's a bit of a charmer, although never a flirt, and he doesn't particularly fancy the idea of a serious, committed relationship, despite his social nature; he's charming in the way of being charismatic, and he has a way with words that
can sometimes step into the realm beyond persuasion and into manipulation, a silvered tongue few can resist. Going with his general lightheartedness, especially in comparison to his companion, he is more optimistic, such as about the success of a particularly unconventional plan or something similar. This optimism can be to a fault far too often, however, especially in more delicate work where "I think that's good enough" simply won't cut it, but if something goes wrong, chances are Yukon will deny ever thinking it
could work, no matter if he had definitely stated whether it would work or not.
Two friends: [622/800]
Talos is his company. The other creature is a strange one, at that, but Yukon doesn't particularly mind. The two have traveled together for years, nearly since they had both set out on their own journeys. Talos is a close friend of his and is the one he trusts with his everything; his life and everything that he fights for, and Talos trusts him the same right back. They have their disagreements, like any friends do, but even in the worst times of strife between or against them there is still a firm hope for reconciliation of their relationship. Even in these times, they would both trust each other with their all.
Their manner of meeting was merely by happenstance, through their own travels. They stumbled upon each other, both tense and ready to fight, but they relaxed as they both revealed that they meant no harm to the other. They didn't know it would be the pathways to an incredible, timeless friendship, and even to this very day they recount those few moments where the slightest change could have thrown their very lives in far different ways. Talos and Yukon are practically the definition of inseparable; if Talos isn't allowed somewhere, Yukon isn't going, and the vice versa. Both of them wear a special amulet; Talos', hooked onto one of the rings of his robes, and Yukon's onto his collar. It is a jewel with jagged edges, and the amulets can be combined. It's nothing more than a symbol, but it was actually a gift from Talos to the two of them, and as such, Yukon holds it close, as he does with many of Talos' gifts and memories. After all, their friendship means the world to him. He, personally, doubted anything at all could change that.
Jean Silvain the viscet is also another close friend of his. It was a bit of an accident the way they met, much in the same way it was for Talos and Yukon, although the two were together at this time. It was nearing nighttime in the humid tropics that the two traveled in, far different from the biting cold of the mountains and the north that they were used to. They'd come here on a mission, to retrieve something important to a client, but they had not been prepared for the change that the tropics would be. They had been searching for somewhere to call a shelter when they miraculously stumbled upon the shack that Jean called home, relatively cut off from the rest of the world. The travelers could tell that someone lived there; smoke drifted from a cracked window into the clear night, and Yukon was the first to approach. After knocking at the door, he was greeted by a viscet with striking similarities to a hyena, who the two later learned the name of. Jean. After much imploring, particularly on Yukon's part, Jean let them stay the night. They spoke for quite some time, and during this discussion Jean revealed himself to be an alchemist, and this shack a brewery. This piqued Talos' attention, as the fangtail was a practicer of magic himself, and they spoke for quite some time. Yukon was a bit bored with this - magic and the like weren't things he particularly enjoyed - but remained anyway, listening to the two. It was these discussions that made Talos visit Jean far more often, and Talos even became a regular buyer of Jean's potions... and, usually, dragged Yukon along. After some time, he began to grow on Jean and enjoy his presence more than he used to. That, and having an alchemist as a close friend was never a bad thing when you were a couple of traveling swordsmen.
