Re-List your traits:
Deceptive, playful, sarcastic, flirty, and clever
--
Where do they see themselves in ten years?:

Tazurium has never truly known where his future would lead. With a past full of so many doubts and hardships, his future looked bleak. Honestly, back then, the only place he felt he would find himself is in a prison or on the run when he finally took it too far. His years as a bully left him doubtful and catious, often making him put up an air of false bravado to keep others from digging to deep into his past and what is soon to be his future. After all, they say that you end the same way you begin... or at least that's what he thought. All that changed on the day he met Tabitha. She was his light. Not only did she open his eyes but she opened doors that he thought had been previously closed. She pathed the way, breaking through his shakcles of doubt and brought him to the glorious sunlight of friendship and hope. Now he can truthfully say he has a future. He can see himself on stage, the crowds roar around him as he rocks his base guitar in time with the band, his friends surrounding him and supporting him while his beatuiful girlfriend stands by his side singing the songs they wrote together. He can see himself signing autographs for billions of people, viscets of all kinds hoping and longing to meet him. He wants to spend the rest of his days on stage, rocking the spotlight and doing what he loves most.

That's not the only thing in his future he can see however. One day he hopes to propose to tabitha and together start a family. He wants to have a bunch of mini viscets running around, three sounds just about right. Maybe more if they can handle it. He just feels like it would be perfect to be able to have a bunch of munchkins in which he could teach and guide as they discovered life. He could play with them, maybe teach them how to play catch. Oh! Maybe they'd be interested in music! Maybe they would form their own band just as their parents did before them. That would be perfect. Of course, maybe not 100% perfect, after all with the amount of sarcasm and attitude that both he and Tabitha has, it's inevitable that at least one inherits it. That's certainly going to make any teenagers tough to handle. They'll be smart too. Maybe just as clever as him. That could be both an advantage and a disadvantage. Well, this may not happen too soon. For now, he's rather content with life, working in an effort to raise bullying awareness and gain forgivness for his past mistakes.

At least two friends:

Tabitha: AKA Taboo: Owned by me:
Tabitha was the first real friend that Taz has ever had. She didn't care about his sarcastic and often snappy attitude, all she saw was a lonely viscet and that was when she decided to become his friend ammo matter how much he may have tried to push her away. That's just the way she was though. She could take even the sourest and angriest viscet and, through immeasurable patience and determination somehow become their friend. He was no exception.

Many say that because he and Tabitha spend so much time together he seems to have picked up some of her traits. Her sarcasm is an example of this. With her constantly making sarcastic remarks, he would make some of his own to combat them. Now they often work together, teasing and mocking each other playfully yet knowing that the other does not mean what they say. Her never ending energy has also caused him to be a bit more playful and energetic thanks he used to be. It's hard not to when you have to keep up with her energy and optimism.

Another thing about Tabitha Is that she can be easily flustered if you know where to push. Taz finds it hilarious. This brings him to often flirt with her, especially in public, in an effort to watch her face redeem and become embarrassed. He enjoys teasing and constantly flirting with her which brings others to call him flirty. This doesn't mean that he still won't flirt with others although she knows that he only flirsts with them to uphold his image. After all, every rock band needs a handsome guitarist for fans to swoon over.

All these aspects are big parts of her but the main aspect he respects the most is her passion. For everything she does, she puts in 100% for it, especially her music. She has shown him how, with hard work and a little faith anything is possible. It's her constant support that often keeps him from falling into deep depression once more. He knows that, despite how irritating she can be at times, she still cares, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Annabel Lee: Owned by funderful;; :
She's a rather new member of his group of friends but she has already had quite the impact on him. With her having been bullied and her ability to see ghosts, she quickly reminded him Deimos, who he useed to bully in the past. Though it may have started as an attempt to make up mistakes, she quickly found that she fit in. Now they treat her just like one of the band even though she isn't. They'd spend time together by going to a concert (With annabel getting a vip pass of course), just going over to Taboo's to play poke'mon on her newest gaming console, or chilling at a cafe arguing about mysteries or conspiracies, she's often seen hanging out with the gang.

Taz almost see's her as a little sister, always trying to give her a boost and improve her self-esteem. He admire's how she dreams big and hopes that he can do anything he can to help her reach those dreams. It always crushes him whenever he sees how paranoid and cautious she is so he tries his best to be a figure of comfort and protection for her. He's become very protective of her as well. If he ever hears of someone bullying her, he becomes furious. Thankfully, he has learned how to hold in his rage and instead, he will break them apart, using harsh words in order to, as he says, "Make their life miserable." Being the clever beast he is, he can quickly and accurately think of as many ways to degrade them as possible. Sometimes he may take it a bit too far but that's what happens when you mess with one of his friends and, despite their efforts to change him, that is the only way he knows how to handle his problems.

Despite this and their unlikely relationship, the two get along quite nicely. He is always willing to offer her an ear to listen and a helping hand. It doesn't bother him anymore that she can see and speak to ghosts. It's just a fact about her that he's accepted. It does make him feel bad about how he used to make fun of deimos but he's decided to put this in the past and, with Annabel Lee, he feels like he has finally gained a chance at redemption.
(391/400)

Nevada: Owned by Fyrvi:
Every group has to have that one completely hopeless romantisizor and, for them, that's Nevada. Although he may seem arrogant and bold, the team has found him to especially loyal to them. He has always seemed to be like the comic relief of the situation. He's bright, optomistic, and always seeming to find the good in the tough situations. His traits of optomism serve to continually remind him that there's still light in this world. He loves to see how Nevada's face lights up whenever they travel someplace new, you see Nevada loves to travel. That's one of the reasons he and Tabitha managed to talk him into being their drummer. The thrill of an adventure and, with his thoughtfulness and his ability to think things through, he's been a big help to the reckless viscet. He's kept him out of more trouble and kept him and Tabitha out of more danger than he could ever know.

Nevada's also quite the hopeless romantic. From day one he's been a Tazoo shipper (Taz and Taboo). As a matter of fact, he's also the one that pushed Tazurium to ask her out. That's the best thing he ever did if you ask him. Not only that, Nevada's kind of like Tazurium's right hand man. He's always there to help out and be a supportive friend while still somehow putting up with the rest of them which, in Tazurium's book is a pretty impressive feat.

(Special shout out to Funderful;; and Fyrvi for letting me use their viscets. You guys rock! X3)

A short story about who they are closest to:

30 Minutes Before The Concert...
"Taz... Taazzzz... TAZURIUM!!!" "Huh?! What! I'm up!" He said leaping to his feet... or attempting to anyway. Forgetting he was sitting in a recliner he managed to offset the balance of the chair and send it sprawling backwards as he gave out a very unmanly yelp. Once he had quite painfully landed on the ground, he waited for the world to focus around him. The first thing he could hear was howling laughter and he felt his face flush. "Well thanks for the support. Some girlfriend you are." He said sarcastically causing her to give a snort as her chuckles died down but that wide grin still stayed on her face. "We'll gee, sorry to wake you sleeping beauty but we do have a concert to get to in thirty minutes. Annie and Nevada are already there." Realizing that he had somehow managed to nap until the late afternoon, he stood the rest of the way in a paniced frenzy. "Tabs! Why didn't you wake me?! We're going to be late!" he suddenly saw guilt flash through her eyes and a light blush. Suddenly he realized why she hadn't woken him. he began to snicker and said "You couldn't find it in you to wake me up, could you?" He said with a chuckle. Stubbornly, she puffed out her cheeks and said, "How do you expect me to wake you up when you look so innocent in your sleep?" He raised his eyebrows as she suddenly realized what she said. "I-I mean, seriously! You were sleeping for so long and you needed the sleep and..." Realizing this was not a battle she was going to win, she groaned. "Whatever! Who cares if I couldn't wake you up! You're up now and we need to go!" He laughed at her frustrations and raced up the stairs of his humble abode. Suddenly, Tabitha's ears pricked as she heard his voice call from upstairs. "Oh and next time Tabs, you may as well just admit I was too cute!" She felt her face heat up even more and ducked her head and yet, the small fond smile stayed on her face as she muttered, "Idiot."

5 Minutes before the Concert...
The two quickly pushed through security, ignoring the guards chuckles. This certainly wasn't the first time the pair had almost been late and they knew it probably wasn't the last. Continuing through backstage, they avoided wires and instruments in their rush to reach the stage. Finally making it, Taz and Taboo both breathed sighs of relief to see that Annie and Nevada had already gotten ready and were paitently waiting. Annabeth Lee looked up at their approach and gave them a wide smile. "There you two are. We were getting worried." She said kindly. Tazurium blew off her concerns as he lifted his electric guitar from it's stand and slipped the strap over his head. "Are you guys ready for this?" Shrugging as she normally does, Taboo responded, "Probably not but we really don't get much of a choice now, do we?" Nevada laughed, sitting down at his drums and annie just shook her head playfully. Suddenly, looking to the clock across stage she gasped. "You guys have two minutes! I'm going to go ahead and get in my seat." She began rushing towards the stage exit so she could find her seat. Turning once, she said, "good luck guys! Break a leg!" "Don't tempt me!" Taz called back to her but she didn't seemed to hear. Tabitha however did and for the second time that night she let out a loud snort.

0 Minutes before the Concert...
"Ready?" She asked, loving violet eyes watching his nervous ones. "I guess." Tazurium said, standing at the front of the stage, guitar in hand. Adjusting the settings on her keyboard, she smiled at him. "Nervous?" "You bet." He said breathily causing her to grin. "Tabs, how do you know I'm not going to completely screw this all up?" She sighed deeply as his words, her eyes burning as they looked at him. "You listen here, Tazurium. You have been practicing this song for weeks, working and perfecting every little note. Have a little faith in yourself. Trust me, it's perfect." Feeling a lot better thanks to her, his grin returned. "Not as perfect as you." She groaned, facepalming, but she quickly straitened up as the curtain began to rise. The stadium was packed, thousands of viscets anxiously awaiting their favorite band. Stepping up to the mic, he quickly caught their attention. "Hey guys! What's up?!" Feeling his nerves bubble up once more. "We're gonna do something a bit different tonight. You see, I've been working on a song myself. Here it is." He took a deep breath, supporting his guitar and preparing to play. He glanced back to the others, seeing that they watched him waiting for his cue to start. He smiled as Tabitha gave him a thumbs up. Stepping up to the mic again, he began to sing and Taboo started with the keboard behind his voice.
"The runway sure looks clear tonight, Soaking up the Autumn sky, Oh, the beauty takes my breath away,
And if this mouth could truly speak, The view that these eyes have seen, Then the words would drown the deepest sea.
My heart skips a beat... and returns to the beginning..."
He could hear Nevada add in with the drums as his hand starting to playing guitar. Feeling some of the nerves leave, his voice began to gain confidence. He even could feel himself swaying to the music getting lost in it's melodies.
"Mystery unfold tonight, With a voice you cannot hide, Oh the melody leads the way.
For the stars leave us in awe, As we partake in nature's song, And the journey carries on..."

Little did Tazuriun know, this was going to be the beginning of a long and beautiful career, and he got do live it by the side of the love of his life.

Best-kept secret OR Biggest regret:

Tazurium has made a lot of mistakes in his life, many of which he has come to regret. Almost all of those happened to him during a certain time of his life, the time when everything had fallen apart. Tazurium had never quite had the best home life. His parents were rarely home and when they were they would hardly recognize that he existed. Taz thought it was normal until he found himself at school where he discovered just how difficult his life really was. He didn't mean for it to turn out in this way. He never wanted to be the bully. He just finally snapped. He was sick and tired of having everyone push him down. He was exhausted of having to go home and do everything that other viscets could rely on their parents to do. He was angry and hurt and he was sick of going to school only to see how wonderful everyone else's lives were in comparison to his own.

There still comes times where he stops and wonders, what if he hadn't been the bully? What if he had been the bullied as so many thought he would be? Would he have ended up like Deimos? Afraid of his own shadow? Or would he have ended up being brave and standing up to them? Surely any other path would have been better than the one he took. Maybe he could have held it off. Maybe he could have gotten help. The thing is... he didn't. He fell to his jealousy and hate. In an effort to make his life seem better, he bagan pushing down those around him, teasing and mocking them so they would understand how he felt at home. Hatred can make even the purest of souls blacken. All it takes is one little flake of darkness to infest his whole being. He became brash, mocking, aggresive, and he began to use his cleverness in ways that he never thought he would for things he knew he never should. Each time he saw that face, the face of embrarassment or fear on another, he felt glorious. How sickening. What he once saw as the most amazing thing he's ever done is now the thing he wished he had never done.

If only he had never started... No. He can't change the past nor can he fix his mistakes. Now, who he was before is just as much a part of him as the face in the mirror. It's shaped him and formed him to become who he is today. He wouldn't have lived thorugh any of the experiences he has and, most importantly, he would have never met them. He would have never met those viscets who helped turn his life around. Every action has an equal and opposit reaction. This is the way life is. If he had never been a bully he would have never met those who stood against him. He would have never known those who tried to help him. He wouldn't be half the viscet he is today. Still, he caused so much heartache and pain for those who didn't deserve it. He tore apart their hopes and dreams just so he could try to grasp something that could never be his. He was like the mighty icarus after the fall. All he could do was struggle. There was nothing left for him, no home to turn to, no life to support him. He was alone... that is, until someone helped him up. They taught him to walk once more and, now that he's strong enough, he can do the same for others. So, while he does wish he could take away their pain, he knows that he can't. The past has come and gone and with it rises a new future for him and those who surround him. This fact can't be changed just as he can't change the past. That's why he keeps fighting. He fights for those who can't fight for themselves hoping that one day, those he defended can find it in their hearts to forgive those who did wrong against them. It isn't too much for a little forgiveness, is it?

Extra #1: A Poem By Taz
Living Lonely

Original poem by cyberdragon725

Hold it , stop, and just listen to me,
'Cause I'm saying something that needs to be,
Because while everyone knows that we're living free,
They seem to forget that we're also living lonely.
You and Me have always needed the company,
But now there seems to be something no one wants to see,
In which living free comes with a fee.

Just today, it was said that I wanted to be alone,
That I walk right on past all the people who've gone,
But while they're going off on their own way,
They seem to have forgotten that wave that I gave,

Because while I'm the one labled Moody or Salty,
They often forget to look past it to me,
But while they're tasting the salt,
They can't seem to taste all the sugar that's hidden beneath.

I'm not seen for all the good, just the bad,
Though I had and still am working to change me.
But you see, I'm not the only Viscet who's living lonely.
Kids, adults, our elders too, it's true, they're left behind too.
So it's not just you and me who end up feeling blue.
It's them, and they, and those who don't even have a clue.

Others may like us, call us their friends,
Tell us we'll be together till the end.
But those Viscets don't realize something.
The term friend isn't used just to add bling,
To relationships, bonds, or even feelings.
It's used like a term to describe a thing.

Now I don't know about you but a real friend isn't just a friend.
It's our names, our bonds, our memories, our hopes, our kin.
These friends that I believe in are Viscets I trust,
And to know a true friend then trust is a must.

But that's something that we just can't seem to find,
So to protect ourselves we just stay confined,
Closed in with the thoughts locked up in our mind,
Remembering things said during all that lost time.

It's true that we live alone but we're tryin',
Searching to find another of our kind,
But we're blind to the thoughts of you.

We don't have a clue what to do,
Because for us this is all new.
And so we bully them, scold them, tell them they're through,
And there's some who don't know that this isn't true,
And since they've previously tried they accept the lie,
Thinking the only thing left that they could obtain,
Is a long lonely life without a friend to their name.

But our story doesn't have to end up in that way.
You have the power to brighten their day through what you say.
Actually, scratch that, you don't even have to say a word,
'Cause a simple smile holds more words than could ever be heard.
Just a friendly hand, a hug, plant a new friendships seed,
In which the flower that blooms will fill our every need.

So when given the chance to befriend someone like me,
Help that tiny seed grow till it's big as a tree,
And pay off that debt of the fee to be free.
Then finally at last when we're all living in harmony,
Finally, hopefully, we, me, him, her, he, she,
Them, and they will finally see that we're not alone see.
We don't have to keep living lonely.

|| Where do they see themselves in ten years? ||

The question came up one day, as she was writing a letter to her grandmother. It was a question she'd thought over and over again. Where DID she want to be in 10 years? It wasn't an easy question but it was a simple one.

She wanted to be the Green Lady, she wanted to take over for her grandmother. Sure it was also an easy answer, but it really wasn't easy.

It was a question of complex shading and depth. Why did she want to be the Green Lady? What drove her to it? Would it make her happy? She didn't know. She only knew she wanted to help people, she wanted to protect them. Being the Green lady was HARD work, it was almost a thankless job, that never ended. She'd never have a vacation, she'd only be able to travel if she, too, had someone to succeed her. As her grandmother had in her. The risk of leaving the forest and dying was too great a threat, and too real, for her to be able to take off whenever she wanted, once she'd taken over for her grandmother.

The job was messy, she would have to make potions, brew tonics, and be on constant alert for rot in the forest. She would have to speak to people, and help solve their problems, and she would almost always be alone. Very few of the Ladies married, or if they did, few of them stayed that way. The job was too encompassing, and the love of the forest was too powerful to give up.

She asked herself often if she was sure she wanted it, wanted the life of such responsibility, and then she would look upon the face of a child, or into the forest, and the question melted away. She would give her lift to protect the forest and its people. They would never survive without a Green Lady, and she was the only one for the job. It was daunting, and exhilarating, scary, and yet... she was glad. In her heart she'd always secretly wanted to grow up and be just as strong, wise, and brave as Grandmother. And in her mind, she knew that in 10 years, she would be ready to take the mantle and all the responsibility it entailed, and she would relish it.

In 10 years she would be the protector of the Forest, the healer and the friend to the small. She would be, The Green Lady.

|| At least two friends ||

|| Ruth ||

So much has been said, so many smiles shared, so many hearts broken and healed. So many miles traveled, so many nights spent staring at the stars. So often do Cally and I share the same thought that it's almost as if we've become the same person.

I write this because I will someday give it to her. This letter of friendship. The road ahead of her is long and scary, fraught with change and challenge and danger... so much danger. I fear for her, but I know she'll be equal to the challenge. I think she thinks I'm the strong one, but she's my rock. My better half, and my sister. Not in blood, but in kinship. She's the other half of me I didn't know I was missing, until I fell into her life (literally!).

I was afraid to take over for my mother when she's ready, I didn't want the responsibility, or the fame, or the constant amount of work. I wanted freedom, and I wanted no responsibility or to meddle with the lives of others.

But Cally taught me to look at the big picture, her bravery, and honesty are things I envy. I wish I had the sheer willpower she has to get things done. Sheer power of personality alone gets her where she needs to go, and good gods help you if you tell her no when she wants something!

Cally is my best friend, my sister, and the reason I will take my place in 10 years as the Golden dragon, if only to be able to see her more. It will, after all, be my right and privilege to consult with the Green Lady, and if that consultation takes a few days, then who would speak a word against it?

The future is bright, and our lives are only going to get better, but for now I have my soul sib, and a boat load of adventures. The next ten years are going to be crazy, but when we're old hags we'll have plenty of stories to tell.

|| Pie ||

Today's the day! Pie thought to herself. She was to have guests. She'd had Saba put away her toys and the child was more than happy to help Pie clean up, though she was often more hindrance than help! Pie smiled at the fluffy rascal, running around the house humming as she carefully picked up the last of her toys to stow away in her beautiful new toy box (a gift from uncle Snowsteel).

Pie only knew that there would be guests because the forest told her so. The birds chatted and the small beasties collected their chatter and brought it Pie. They adored Saba, who went out of her way to chat with them, and make sure they were all safe and warm and happy. The little visceling was never too busy to chatter with a fellow creature, something Pie was proud of.

She sighed, and put away the broom just as a knock sounded on the door.

"Coming!" She called, trotting over to open the door. In her door there stood two viscets, both females. One smaller and purple with unusual markings that looked like a bubbling cauldron, and the other tall and graceful and golden, with beautiful curving horns.

"Hello..." she smiled, and before they could introduce themselves, Saba was throwing herself upon them with a shrill scree of happiness and welcome, though she didn't know the strangers any more than Pie did.

"So sorry," she cried, peeling the child off them as they laughed helplessly. It was the first time Pie and Saba met Cally and Ruth, and in that moment Pie felt a kinship toward the pair who were so patient and understanding with her sweet little monster child.

They came in and introductions went all around. Pie offered tea and cookies, and they spoke of all the places they'd seen and been. But they wanted to meet the viscet whom the forest spoke so highly of, the one the Guardian himself told Cally she should meet.

|| Akachi (Owned by the lovely Howlingtothestars)||

Exicted to be on their way, Cally and Ruth stopped short as a female viscet stepped into their path.

“I wouldn't go that way,” she said, her voice not at all friendly and her eyes distant. Cally couldn’t tell if she meant them harm or was just warning them away from danger.

“Why not?” she asked, hands on her hips. She was a curious one, Cally was, it came from reading too many books. Her thirst for knowledge was immense, much to Ruth’s annoyance.

“Cally, she said not to go that way, who cares why,” Ruth tugged on Cally’s arm. Instantly ignored, she let out a long suffering sigh, and chose a boulder to sit on to watch the exchange, knowing the stubborn set of Cally’s jaw and the tightening of her smile, meant they would be here until the smaller viscets curiosity was satisfied.

“Well, there are a few reasons,” the stranger began, warming just a touch, it seemed that she was more than willing to talk to them.

“If you go there, you’ll probably be eaten, if not mauled, but the giant bear that’s rooting around in the woods. It's not a normal bear, but it's your call. I suppose getting eaten is all in a day's work for brave adventurers such as yourselves.” She sounded amused, and turned to leave, apparently done with the conversation and them. It appeared she’d given her warning and was more than happy to let them to their fate. Something Ruth silently applauded her for, but knew Cally wouldn't accept.

“Wait! Where are you going?” she called, chasing after the female. “I’m Cally and that’s Ruth, why were you standing there? And why are you trying to run away?”

“My name is Akachi, and I was going to warn whatever traveler happened to walk by, since I just passed the crazed bear and thought it would be the decent thing to do. As to the why I’m ‘running away’, I’m not. But I did warn you, so now I”m going home.” She smiled, for the first time, and answered the several other questions Cally posed to her, and when she would have left again, Cally practically dove on her and would have sat on the poor thing had Ruth not intervened and called them both to order. After which they all had a good laugh at Cally’s expense.

It would be the first time they met up with Akachi, but not the last. Cally’s persistence had earned herself and Ruth a new friend, one they would always be able to count on.
|| 430/400 ||

|| A short story about who they are closest to ||

Looking back at the very beginning of her time with Ruth, Cally’s favorite memory would have to be the first time they stopped to sleep in clouds.

Well, to give a little background (because in Cally's thinking it's always good to be thorough). After Cally met up with Ruth, they devised a clever plan to take Cally’s travel sled and make it float so that Ruth could pull it, and they wouldn’t have to fly. As a plan it was perfect, however, in execution it was lacking, seeing as how it took magic to stay aloft and Cally hadn’t learned how to make things sustain their own spells yet. So more often than not, both were completely drained by the end of the day. Cally from keep the sled with all their stuff and herself aloft, and Ruth from pulling it through the unstable winds. Many a night they both fell asleep so quickly neither even felt the ground under them before they awoke the next morning.

On this particular night, they’d had a long and arduous day. Cally spent the entire day doing research in the Book, and finally found a spell to keep the sled afloat without having to expend all her magic. She was weary to the bone from flying, and they’d almost lost the sled a time or two that day when she’d fallen asleep. Finally, they’d landed and both of them fell into an exhausted slumber, only to be awaken by some scary men that startled them into shooting straight up into the sky. Probably the best reaction they could have gone with, since Cally was secretly sure they would have been robbed, though Ruth was only sure they were curious.

And once again she found herself expending all her power for the second time that day, and boy was she tired. However, she didn’t want to risk another incident like the one with the dubious men, and so she carefully pulled out the Book and began to read as Ruth dozed on top of the supplies.

“AH HA!!!!” She shouted, scaring Ruth who rolled off the sled and fell into the sky, startled. She floated back up, cross at her friend.

“YOU SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME! Not to mention I just fell INTO THE AIR!” Ruth, growled, not at all pleased, she was having such a nice nap.

“I found the spell to keep us aloft, so stop grumbling and help me get supplies. This way we can sleep up here and not worry about anyone getting us,” Cally ignored Ruth’s black looks and began to dig into the supplies in earnest. Ruth helped her, and they managed to get everything Cally would need.

“Ok, need to land near moving water so this will work,” she said, looking around. Ruth sighed, but pulled them toward the water. And when they landed she went to work, and whipped up a beautiful potion to keep the sled going.

That night, they sent the sled aloft and for the first time both of them could relax and enjoy the sheer beauty of the sky, the moon and stars. It was such a beautiful scene, and neither could sleep just staring up in sheer wonder at the heavens. It was a memory neither of them would forget.

It was just one of many small, every day, sort of things both Cally and Ruth would remember. But, it was one of the most peaceful thoughts Cally had, remembering the sweet taste of victory. She’d used her knowledge, read the Book, and created something witchy that let them experience the most amazing night of their lives. Who could ask for more?

Certainly, not the pair of them. Though it became routine to sleep aloft. The endless nights spent talking gradually eased both their lonely souls, and created a bond stronger than blood.

Ruth was like a gift from the gods for Cally, who'd always been shy and more into books than people. Honestly, Cally didn't know what she'd been missing, she felt in her heart of hearts that Ruth's appearance was something of a miracle, just when she'd begun to doubt herself and whether or not she could ever live up to her grandmother's image, Ruth fell into her life and turned her world upside down.

Cally could feel herself become more and more brash and bold and knew that these were all things Ruth herself had in abundance. Almost as if she were gaining confidence just by being near the tall graceful viscet, with the soft good humor and an adventure streak a mile wide.

At this point, they were inseparable, and Cally couldn't imagine her life without Ruth, the sister she'd never had.

|| Biggest regret ||

Cally’s biggest regret, and deepest shame, was never taking her mother seriously. Her mother, whom she should have loved and respected, was neither a witch, nor an incredible intellect. She loved plants, and cooking and cleaning, she was a simple person and loved Cally so very much. She could never understand Cally’s thirst for knowledge, or her pigheadedness when it came to doing ‘womanly’ chores.

Cally was always correcting her when she knew her mother was wrong, to the point it hurt the older females feelings. And Cally herself would feel terribly afterward, but she couldn’t help herself, the words often just blurted themselves out. Much to her shame (and she still had little better control over her tongue than she did as a child, though she liked to think she did).

And though Cally’s mom almost never took offense, she was always at ends with her daughter. More often than not the beautiful bat viscet would go out to her garden to be alone and find peace in her plants, while Cally suffered silently in the house cursing her quick tongue and cutting wit.

You could say she was a teen and didn’t know what she was doing, hormones are a terrible thing after all! But, Cally could never accept that as an excuse. To her, she only remembered that she was a terrible daughter, and she’d always gotten the vague feeling that her mother wished she’d had a less willful daughter. It was never spoken, but in her teenage heart she was sure her mother secretly hated her, something her grandmother spent years reassuring her wasn’t true.

One day, while Cally was reading from the Book to learn one of her first true spells, her mother accidently broke a clay pot that was needed for the spell. Cally, who was already in a bad mood due to her failure making the previous potion work, snapped at her mother about how she’d broken a very important pot, and now how was she to get her work done for grandmother? And though her mother tried to calm her down, Cally had none of it. She ended up storming out of the house, leaving her mother hurt and angry with Cally. The older female cleaned up the mess and tiredly decided to go pick up a new pot at the market.

It was the last time Cally saw her mother. She was killed when the shop she’d gone into to get the new pot, blew up. They said the potter was cheap and miserly and kept all his supplies as cheaply as he could, which meant they were all too flammable and when something caught fire the whole building went up.

The only good thing about the news was the fact that Cally’s mother didn’t suffer. Grandmother said she’d gone instantly. It was cold comfort to Cally, who only remembered how awful she’d been to her mother before she lost her.

After that she dove into her books to hide from the world, and became something of a recluse. She excelled in her studies and was able to create complex potions far beyond what her peer group could be expected to do. This was a bone of contention for her grandmother who felt Cally needed friends, but the small visect would accept no help and hurt too much to accept that people might not want to be friends just because they felt sorry for her.

The funny thing about her seclusion was, she never lost her sweet and bubbly nature. She felt the books she loved were friends, old friends, and often would she read aloud and feel the joy and excitement that poured off the page. However, when she met her best friend, she realized how truly lonely her life had been, and decided that she would once again rejoin the world with bouncing good humor.

She’s spent every day since, trying to make sure only good things came from her, and yet another reason she wanted to become the Green lady. To atone for herself. To help people, and in doing so, heal herself of her past.

So, I just realized CST meant Central Standard time and not Chicken Smoothie Time ^^"

Would it be possible to extend for like an hour or two? I just have a few minor adjustments to do and then my form will be complete! (its finished, but I"d like to shine her up a bit XD)

Good luck you guys!
I'm excited (and terrified) to start reading <3

Alright, time is up. I'll start judging this here in the next couple hours. With as much as I have to read I can't promise it will be posted tonight, but I will try to get it decided upon and posted asap

Re: Halloween Viscet #1039- Cauldrons Bubble - Winners

Postby Strudel » Thu Nov 10, 2016 3:20 pm

You guys did NOT make this easy on me (and by extension james. XD)
This was really close, and all four final forms were excellent. After hours (and I really actually mean solid hours of judging and deliberating) I've finally come to my final decisions.

So the winner of the Bat Legendary this year is...
Grifforik!
There were so many reasons I chose you (keep in mind I considered all of the rounds in my decisions)
Your form flowed from one round to the next, you stayed consistent in your character building and your details. You just... blew me away with your stories and art too. Really, it's been a fantastic ride reading and seeing everything you've come up with.

Yugi, I agonized over whether to pick you or not. Honestly, it was painful that I couldn't just give it to you both. You two were so close, that for a long time me and james. went back and forth between you and Griff.
Your story kept james and I both on the edges of our seats. It was fantastic. Just really fantastic.
So I am awarding you an RU. PM me at your earliest convenience so we can work things out like what traits it should have and of course see if you wish to claim the RU to begin with.

I am also offering 2 HM stubs a piece to both Alex and Cybers. Both of you did so well, and your forms were also excellent. Thank you both so much for entering! It's been a joy to go through this process with you <3
Alex, to warn, I may be PMing you within the next day or two, so keep an eye out for that <3
