Kalons: Raiden, Trick & Treat

Raiden's heart was racing, sweat poured down his face and he though to himself " Why did I let these two talk me into this?! I'm going to have a heart attack..". As he was looking at the Haunted house the school kits had set up for Halloween and they did a pretty good job, all the props and costumes looked so real and just the overall feel of it was spooky. Trick & Treat had somehow convinced poor Raiden to take them through it, put on a costume which they picked making him the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and top top it all off he had never been inside a haunted house before and he knew Trick would just love to see him scared.
He looked down at the 2 kits who were in their matching Alice & Mad hatter costumes and asked them for the 5th time if the really wanted to go in and the both replied, "YES, NOW LETS GO!!" while glaring up at him. He nodded nervously and took their paws and entered slowly but before he could even say a word Trick had slipped out of his grip and ran ahead with Treat fallowing close behind. Raiden gasps and yelled their names but to no avail, he now had to go after them ALONE. At first it was ok just some creepy music and smoke on the floor, no big deal that is till a light shined on the wall with a silhouette of a kalon with a chainsaw laughing manically. Raiden bolted ahead looking for the twins till arms reached out and almost touched him and he jumped higher then he ever has and kept running. His heart was racing as ghouls, ghost and all sorts of creepy things pop jumped out at him and he just kept running past everything till he somehow got to the end where low and behold Trick & Treat were waiting with candy in their mouths.
He asked the twins why the ran and left him behind and Trick replied, " we though it be more fun for you, did you get scared??"
Raiden only glares as sweat fell off his body but then he sighed and though "I'm letting Bella take them night time.."

Kalon: Beryl

Beryl grabbed her gem-like basket and bolted out of the house into the night. The air was crisp, a little chilly for the season, but not cold enough that she would need a jacket that would ruin her costume. Little Kalons and their parents were everywhere, flooding the streets as they each went up to the houses in a group to cheerfully call for treats.

Quickly, Beryl rushed to her neighbor's house, joining a group that was already on their way up to the door, and called out in a sing-song chorus, "Trick-or-treat!!" Handfuls of candy were given to each little trick-or-treater. The first bit of loot from what was going to be a long night ahead of Beryl.

The moon was high in the sky, not a single cloud obscuring the bright sight of it. Stars were scattered about, providing a perfect night for collecting candy through the neighborhood. Though Beryl didn't have a party to go to, no scary house that she would be dared to go inside, she had an entire neighborhood at her disposal to collect such a large amount of candy from that she would be eating it for days to come. And that was all she needed.

Fletcher

Fletcher had arrived at the convention and was now standing in front of the door, making sure his Yun costume was all in perfect place. Deciding everything was set, he paused and looked down at his paws with a sigh. His friends had wanted him to come trick-or-treating with them, but he just couldn't risk someone he knew seeing him. He was extremely insecure about his fascination with cosplay and fictional characters, and much preferred going to a cosplay convention with other awkward people like him. Stepping inside the building, his golden-red eyes widened. So many people had come tonight! The place was filled with kalons dressed in various costumes milling around at different stands. The stands themselves were amazing. All sorts of merchandise for his favorite shows and animes could be spotted nearby, and there were even some people who had come offering art. Pushing his glasses up his nose, he trotted to the nearest stand and stood next to some other kalons who were all watching someone draw. How cool!

Fletcher grinned, knowing he'd made the right decision to come here, but his smile vanished and was replaced with fear when he saw a gray kalon walking towards him. It was a girl from one of his college classes! He looked around frantically for somewhere else to go, but it was too late. She's already seen him. "Hey, Fletcher!" She said cheerily as she strode up to him.

The whole reason he had come here was so he wouldn't see anyone he knew! Mentally slapping himself, he stuttered a reply. "H-hey. What are you d-doing here?" Suddenly he realized she was dressed up too, as Yona. They had both dressed from the same anime?

She laughed. "I saw your costume! I didn't know you were into this stuff?"

He relaxed, but only slightly. "Oh, yeah. It's something I don't really like to advertise..." He trailed off with the last sentence, barely audible.

"Well, I'm glad someone else is here that I know." Funny. He felt the opposite." "So, do you want to do something?"

He froze for a few seconds, thinking. "Oh, s-sure, I suppose." He hadn't been expecting her to want to hang out with him.

"Great! I saw a Yona of the Dawn stand somewhere that way." She flicked her tail. "We can start that way then work our way up and down the isles till we circle 'round."

"Just what I was thinking," Fletcher said, gaining more confidence. Maybe this wasn't such a bad Halloween after all.

Ocha and Faline

Ocha didn't do or go anywhere too drastic or incredible when Halloween time rolled over; she simply enjoying appreciating it within the cozy shell of the coffee shop she loved and worked at. She of course celebrated it though! A coffee-cup costume wasn't particularly scary or spooky, but it was a funny surprise to the customers who'd walk in for a warm latte, and to be greeted by a bounding cup-kalon. Though this Halloween night she wasn't working, she was spending it in the company of her dearest, at their favourite little spot, with the tall windows, the tiny tea-lit candles and the pale blinking stars.

She couldn't wait for when the kits arrive! "It should only be a few days now, surely?" She whispered over her coffee to Faline. "In some years they could go trick-or-treating themselves." They gazed off to the bunches of little families knocking door to door, with bags and buckets of sweets, candy, in various costumes, be it witches, wolves, ghouls... Ocha thought the pumpkin costumes were the cutest. The dreamy image of taking her little kits out for a walk, in funny little pumpkin costumes, made her happily sigh and take gentle hold of her love's paw. (203/200)

Looks like Valentine (owned by me) went into the woods. Buddy, I think the candy is THAT way. I mean, those woods are pretty spooky, let alone the little huts you are probably attempting to get candy from.

Aiko will be visiting The Halloween Jam once again this year. It's pretty much a big halloween party with haunted houses and graveyards, jumpscares, and spooky decorations. ^^

Bonnie & Kalani, 220 words

Bonnie smiled excited at her father, as she bumbled around the Halloween fair with her little ghost costume. With her little holes for eyes, she could see clearly the bright lights, the orange and black yearly decorations and even the scary face masks people had bought and put onto their faces in an attempt for a little Halloween spirit. Bonnie smiled excitedly with her little pumpkin bucket, unable to tell everyone how excited she was to be at this fair. At the very beginning, there was a ticket, and wristband, booth, where kalon could purchase their sales to use on the rides, as well as go into the haunted house and win some candy in little mini games and raffles.

She scampered over, with Kalani following close ensuite to his little girl. She had a tendency to run off into the night whenever she could, and especially in this crowded fair, where there were many people costuming as Halloween characters on the holiday, it was more and more likely Bonnie could run off without his notice if he had not kept an eye on her the entire time. Still, she seemed happy, to be running around the annual Halloween fair- this was her 4rd- and he was happy to accompany his precious daughter in all her adventures through the night.

palmer unlocked the front door as dove pulled up to his driveway. he grinned. she looked really silly in the red hat and overalls, but it wasn't as outlandish as the bowser hat he had on alongside his inflatable shell. "always early, huh?"
she gave him a small smile. "yep. always. it'd be rude to show up late, pelb." she stepped inside, taking off her coat. palmer had a bowl that he was ready to set outside his house- it was empty. for him, the easiest thing to do was put out an empty bowl of candy that said "take one!"- nobody would ever know that there wasn't any candy at all.
"we'll be driving over to woodland," he said, smirking. "i know that there's a lot more walking to do over there, but the candy they give out is a lot better. rich people, am i right?" she giggled. "full size candy bars that last for over a week. that's what i call heaven."
"we should get going, then," dove said, turning towards the door. "if we want to make sure that we avoid the mass crowds when it hits 5:30, we'll need to take off sooner than later."
"nuh-uh, sister. it's like, four right now. first, we're gonna grab a bite to eat. i ordered a pizza already, so there's no way you're gonna get out of this one." she sighed, taking a seat at the poorly made table in his kitchen.
so they were going to woodland. ah, the memories. they always went to trick-or-treat there as kids, but this time, well, it'd be different. they weren't going to be there. dove shuddered.
palmer seemed to take notice of her discomfort. "you good? is it because-"
"you know what it's because. just, let's not talk about it. it was a thing of the past, palmer."
"alrighty, my dude. now, let's get ready to eat, and then we'll make off."
