Name:
Empress
Gender:
Female
Favorite flower::
Empress's favorite flower is the hibiscus because of the conditions it needs to grow. It is a beautiful, tropical-looking flower that she sees on tapestries in her castle's halls. The first thing she would do is she could escape her castle would be to cross the seas and find a quiet island where hibiscus and other beautiful plants would grow. She knows of very few other flowers anyway (simply because her parents see no need for her to know of any,) and all are located in the royal garden which are basically plastic to her.
Favorite mythical creature::
Empress's favorite Mythical Creature is the simple Dragon. Dragons are often given the role of keeping a princess in a castle, often against their will. However, Dragons have strong wings and they themselves can leave castles with ease, making her feel envy and respect for them. At night, she often dreams she is one (no matter how childish her parents say those dreams are.)
Extra::
Empress was born on April 22nd in Castle Basilisk. She is a royal of a proud, selfish family of half-breed Basilisks. From a very young age, they forced her to go about her princessly tasks without any care for what she felt of politics. She used to utterly despise them, but now she only pities them for their narcissistic, constricting nature. Even though the harsh treatment of her family has brought her self esteem very low, she is still the Gentle, Nurturing girl that she ever was. However, and despite having no patience for politics, She has the signature serpentine tongue her family is known for and is thus is a smooth speaker when it comes to swaying others to her side. Her mother is unable to have any more children because of a medical condition, which makes her parents very fearful and her very annoyed and put down. She knows the reason her parents are worried is because they fear she will try to put an end the Basilisk family's reign as her aunt who had a very similar personality to Empress had tried before. Her aunt was exiled, but Empress knows her parents can't do the same to her because she is their only heir. She is currently 18, four years over the age her family could begin to search for a price for her because of complications with other nations due to her family's viciousness. Silently, Empress swears that I given the chance she will make her parent's worst fears realized, but she likely won't as her parents are surely searching for a prince for her that will command and keep her down for the rest of her life. She has never wanted to fly away more than she did at that moment of realization. They have taken her to several kingdoms searching for a possible husband for her and also to gain allies that are of a lower rank than them to control and enlarge their already massive ego. On one of these trips, she journeyed to the Castle LaCendre where the kingdom of Half-Breed dragons reside. Though she was very disappointed that they were not winged, She did make the first friend she ever had, a girl a couple years younger than her by the name of
Lumiera. They both were very similar down to the yearning for the escape from the princessly rules and bustling servants, however Empress could instantly realize (her being very skilled at sizing people up) that she had absolutely no skill in speaking, her parents were not nearly as constricting on her and she was mostly allowed to do what she wished albeit inside the castle, and was very childish for an eventual queen. Still, they both found a middle ground between adult and child for speaking and got along quite well during the two days Empress was visiting, mostly spending time in Lumiera's room located on the right tower where they were supposed to be studying. Lumiera, her friend, the dragon girl with the heart of melting gold; a hopeless romantic in a world of constricting rules and foolish kings... Empress tried so hard to make the moments they spent together last as long as she could, but both of them knew how much time was always against them. Still, every moment they treasured so dearly and they couldn't have wished for a better two days in all their life. On the very last night, they both worked hard and into the early morning on a tapestry depicting them both flying with the wings of a dragon. When one of the servants came up asking for Empress to go down to the main hall, Lumiera handed the tapestry to Empress saying that she needed it more. To this day, the tapestry is hung proudly in her room despite her parent's distain for it (saying it is a very childish thing for a princess of her age to be holding onto.) Her parents will probably not have her back until Lumiera's brother comes of age because of their dislike for Lumiera, but she is allowed a carrier pigeon for letters and she often writes to her friend seeing as she has little else she enjoys in her castle.
