Why are they grumpy?: Tynan doesn't care for Hallowe'en because it feels like the stereotypes around his species make like four times more irritating than usual. It isn't uncommon for him to get shifty looks or jokes about him "looking for dead things" while out on the town or simply going to and from work on a normal day as it is - near Hallowe'en, though, it's like every kid (or kitten or cub or what-have-you) wants to either scream and run away or pester him about anything and everything even remotely spooky or related to the dead, and that's not to mention all of the brazen-hearted teenagers who, desperate to prove themselves in the arbitrary teenage hierarchy, try to prank him. He'd really just rather take a month-long vacation from work, stay in his little isolated home, and be done with everyone until Thanksgiving!

Why are they grumpy?: (Halloween related)
Since vultures are already considered spooky they think it isn't worth the effort to go out and find a costume anymore after years of going out on Halloween costume less an d getting complimented on their 'costume'. It's only made them very self-conscious of their appearance.
