This is Petey; or rather, this was Petey. He was a most treasured best friend who came to a desperately lonely girl after her life seemingly began to unravel. Petey was, in no small way, someone sent to me for a purpose; to love me no matter what, and to show me that I could do that still, too. He was my best friend, he still is in a way, and even if we butt heads over whether we were finished for the day or not, he's why I'm still here and he's who I'm looking forward to seeing again after I've lived my life through. c:

I really love this picture due to all of the headdress pieces, the lions face, and the little details like the beads on the dream catcher and the feathering detail. But it also shows a meaning to me. It kinda represents a beauty from ashes type of thing to me. I had a rough past and this image represents pulling out from all of the hardships and coming out a better and stronger being.

explanation: honestly, i enjoy this picture for the creativity put behind it. it displays the american struggle of maintaining freedom and still representing ourselves for who we are proudly despite being attacked from all sides by differing assailants. it also shows that even when our lands are practically uncontrollable, we will find a way to overcome it's headstrong ways and have it obey us. it will be the key to our victory.
